Medicom RAH Jango Fett!!!!!

I purchased a RAH Shock Trooper a few months back through starwarshop to see what their 1/6th scale figs are like. Although I was happy at the price I got it, I felt as though I would've felt ripped off if I spent over $100 on it.

It's just the price point of Medicoms RAH figures that put me off ($125-150 per figure). For the quality it feels about the same as Sideshow other than the body type. I just can't see myself ever spending full retail price that they ask for. I see Medicom's Royal Guard and Clone Trooper in my LCS and everytime I see them I question the full retail price that they are asking ($149.99 per fig).

Look at it this way. It's a relatively inexpensive stand-in until Sideshow announces a Fett at SDCC next year.

To anyone debating on picking up this figure: I don't think you will be sorry. I must admit that I would not have paid full price for it, but I haven't/wouldn't pay full price for ANY Medicom figure. I just think they are overpriced and under scale. However, I think we can expect around $100 for the SS version. So, with that in mind, I decided to pick it up along with a Boba for the same price on ebay. I figured I could always dispaly the Medicom Jango and Boba together in my office at work if and when SS releases their versions. I think if you have the money and you're a Fett fan, pick it up; if not, wait it out till SS's version (since it's obviously not far away according to the posters above).

Well, doing the math for the 12" Star Wars category, there aren't very many HUGE releases left for 2009's SDCC. It'll either be the Droids, which I doubt considering Tom's been saying since day 1 that Hasbro's are fine, Chewbacca which would be just too optimistic , or the Fettmeister, Boba himself.

I'm guessing we may see a Jango pre-order before SDCC as a foreshadowing of Boba's coming. Potentially with Toy Fair '09?

"The droids are fine" is a HUGE matter of opinon...kinda wish we could get SS to see that I do have the Hasbro versions displayed with mine, but would love a much better set. At the very least, a proper 1/6th R2 rather than Hasbro's stunted version.

It does seem like a great price, too bad my kids expect toys too!!!

Finally got a Jango myself from a fellow boardie...thought I'd show some pics after I swapped his body out with a Soldier Story body. The pants are a hair short and the thighs are too thick to put the holster straps over the thigh armor. But those things aside, I am pretty happy with how he looks and he displays just fine with my SSC figures:

Wow, that looks pretty good. How long did it take to do all of the mods?

Not too long actually...a couple of hours tops? The most time consuming parts were getting the figure's feet in his boots, drilling out the wrists to take the Medicom posts, and heating up the groin armor to get it on the figure.

make sure to be careful with the wires on his arms. its very easy to break them off

Man, that looks great Cryo. The scale of the Medicom Jango does bug me. I am certainly not brave enough to try and switch out the body. Guess I will just keep him posed in a fly pose so you can't notice the height.

I love Jango but I just can't bring myself to get the Medicom, there's just too many things that bug me about it. I'm impatiently waiting for Sideshow to take a crack at him.

Wow that looks great, i have both boba and jango and the height does bother me.

Have u got the original head on under jango's helmet?
