Personally I hope it is well under $500 otherwise they run the risk of very minimal volume.

He’s a good character but no Batman
Really? I think they could charge 600 and it would still sell like hot cakes bc so many want a great version for years. And Batman might be a more beloved franchise in general (not sure on that?), but there are so many actors out there and the fans are split among them. So I ould see Aragorn outsell every specific Batman version.

Just hope we don't have to buy a 1000 dollar two pack to get a rooted version. But even then I would bite that bullet to get him

I used to collect all of the Lord of the Rings figures when I was in Primary school. Haven't had anything LotR since. But this, this I will get. Incredible update, I think they just need to make some features a bit more pronounced, but definite upgrade.

He’s a good character but no Batman or Luke Skywalker. Therefore many casual collectors may pass if the price is too high. Just my 2 cents.

But he does look great. So I’m definitely tempted if it’s not priced crazy high.
I don’t think InArts main target is casual collectors, otherwise they wouldn’t have done a $1000 Joker 2 pack and a $500 Gandalf.

People will pay a premium price for premium quality.

I think their price is the $500 mark for rooted deluxe. I think that's the point.

If they priced it at HT level, it would be HT level.

I hope it will not be more than $500.
Lower is better of course, but of course we all expect it to be more than HT price. (above $350)
Don't forget that there is a company that charges HT price for their super crappy products!

InArt (a good competition) is good for us, because now in order to justify their high price, HT starts including the PERS on their non DX products!

I still don't really see InArt as being competition to Hot Toys, and I don't think they're trying to be either.

Maybe not a direct head to head competition like HT and Enterbay back then, yes, as it seems that they target a different market,
but if I'm Hot Toys I would think that if I don't improve my products, people will start thinking that, rather than buy 2 HT figures, they would just save their money to buy 1 InArt figure. :)

IA doing same figures like Joker and Batman as HT not a competitor?
Or people don't buying the next two Star Wars Side chars and rather start a new line when they see an incredible Aragorn?

They might not always share the same customers but they are a competitor on many levels still

All rooted hair:
- Gandalf: 515$
- Pennywise: 444$ (1 head rooted hair) 528$ (2 heads rooted hair)
- Batman: 500$

I think Aragon rooted hair price will be 500$

I'm sat watching LOTR right now and that just IS Aragorn.
Xx

Why not? Is adding hair to a doll really true art? If factory workers can assemble cars and fine leather goods, then they can hair a doll.
But I want to know if there is now an elite team of trained factory dolly-hairers and stylists, has InArt got their own team, if not, can other companies now attempt more realistic root jobs and benefit from the training presumably provided by InArt?
Asmus got great results with their latest Gandalf the White hairing so maybe, in the near future, high quality hairing will become more accessible… good for the collection but bad news for the bank balance.

You’re right; there is no competition. InArt have already won.

They could by charging more.

That other company with the LOTR license can charge more.. even as much as inArt, but will never get to InArt's quality.
InArt got a brilliant team and high level of professionalism, even in the Joker thread people are still in awe with the result.

It looks like a much more expensive custom work instead of a mass produced piece, and if they can maintain that quality with their Gandalf and Aragorn..
Like Chopper's said.. there's no competition.

My guess is it's a InArt team taught by Viper. Same team that did the hairing for their 1:4 Ledger Joker is my guess.

The assymmetry in his eyes is an interesting choice. It doesn't look bad, but I can't say I really notice it in any stills from the movie.
One eye higher than the other? I never noticed it with Viggo before but actually I can see it now just googling him. One of his eyes is higher and slants differently than the other. Wise of Inart to try to capture this, to not idealize.

Asymmetric eyes are surprisingly common. I know this because I see it in the mirror and look for it in other people so I know I'm not the only one who has it. :lol

Ha, well symmetry is a highly valued beauty trait for a reason; it wouldn’t be so special if was common.

If that’s true then Viper has trained them well. The 1:6 Joker all round seems better than QS 1:4 scale.
