Also taking into account the DX05 was released over a decade ago. The Present Toys set is not contemporary Hot Toys quality, that much is true. There are a few issues which hold it back from that. I think if you have both releases, you can mix and match and have yourself a decent representation of Indy in your collection.

This is a nice figure. The head sculpts alone make this a good purchase. They are both better than HT's. Those that want an Indy figure and aren't too decerning should be happy out of the box. For those that want a little more and are willing to put in some effort this is a good start. I'm the latter, with HT's, this, and some fodder I've collected over the years I have at least 2 good potential Indys. It'll be fun.

I was pleasantly surprised by this figure.
With all the talk of it being mainly just for parts, etc, I was actually pleased how it looks out of the box with just a little futzing. Probably the low expectations helped with that!

There are lots of things to improve upon - those pants need replacing asap.
I'm actually quite happy with the jacket in particular after spending some with it - needs more wrinkling and some weathering, but it feels nice in hand.

This is my first Indy, and I suspect a long process of swapping out parts and upgrading is about to start.... but it's honestly quite a bit better than I expected out of the box!

Reissue with the better jacket fit and material thickness and better sized buckle on the bag strap really help the overall look of the figure.

Is that the figure out of the box?! I'd probably never really switch out anything but that looks great!

I only ask because Kit got some more stock and I'm tempted to hit the buy button...

Yes, 100% stock at the moment. I haven't changed or swapped anything on mine yet. Definitely needed a bit of futzing to get things sitting better though!

I was on the fence on the first batch, got this from the second and no regrets. I'd say go for it - even if you keep it stock, it can look pretty good!

I really like it!
Had him without his jacket.. but after putting it on, it didnt sit right, which annoyed me really.
So I took it off again. Maybe I will try it next time to make it sit like yours.

What kinda annoys me about the figure are the handpegs.
The color doesnt match the hand. Same goes for the arms. :/

Not sure about the second run jacket, but it didn't fit well on the first run body. Indy figures tend to work best (in my opinion) using a ttm19 style torso with narrow shoulder arms. I'm sure the Present Toys set would benefit from this as well. Overly muscular armed bodies tend to bunch up the sleeves and throw off the whole look in my experience.

Good that you mention it. I thought about it to change the body. Didn't know although with which one. I will take a look on the mentioned body ;)

It looks very nice there. That sculpt looks ok-ish when viewed straight on, but from other angles not so great.
Kind of wishing i hadn't cancelled mine now.

And here is mine that finally came today from KGHobby. Quick snap at with the living room lights on. I am pretty happy with the look, though would change the pants that annoy me the most if I manage to get a pair. Trying to weather the fedora and jacket is something for the future me to think of.

One thing that really hits me is that the figure looks waaaay better in hand than on the pictures I have seen so far.

The first few times I tried the jacket, I hated it. It was bulky and just didn't sit right, so I took it right back off. But decided to try again and I'm glad I did. It's actually a nice jacket once I spent more time working with it.

That's a pet peeve for me, and I see it far more often than I'd like - surely it can't be that hard to match the pegs to the hands? It's a small thing, but very distracting. Ah well.

Good to know! I'm definitely thinking about doing a swap, so I'll keep that in mind when hunting.

It's a weird sculpt actually. Sometimes in hand, the light hits right and it looks spot on to Ford, and other times just completely off. Unlike say the Dark Toys Deckard (and the better-painted ebay head) which seems to just work all around. Still pretty happy though; glad I got in on the second run.

Received mine today and I'm very impressed by it. I replaced the shirt and pants with the DX05's and the body with AT011. The jacket is quite nice in-hand and much better than expected. This can't be the same thick material everyone complained about, can it?

Here's a photo of my complete figure:

So I went to get the ark of the covenant and I started blasting
Just got my replacement Revolver from Presenttoys thanks to Onesixthkit for being great at what he does.

Got him today from Kit,very beautiful figure! Great likeness! Can't wait to put him Lara and Nate together!

Seems I got paint ''chip'' on the hat as well, I have no idea if they tried to make some ''wear'' effect with that or it's an actual chip. As I see most of the figures have it at the exact place. I
have a feel, someone put paint there and then forgot blending.
