My god he looks like an absolute giant compared to her. Like they’re not even the same scale. I wonder how diminutive she looks on her own, being so small. It just kills my desire for this fig. If she were under $200, maybe it’d be less an issue. But at $260 plus shipping for such a slight figure….
I think I saw someone selling the Endgame Widow in the For Sale section for $175 shipped

It’s actually three completely different sculpts.
Sorry to doubt you but man i had to go back and check this. Is there any other character that basically gets a new sculpt every time? Was there ever a BW that was a repaint? I can’t think of one. I wonder if there is something contractual about it or maybe they just love ScarJo.

Newly developed head sculpt with authentic and detailed likeness of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in Avengers: Endgame

There was a comparison made earlier in the thread. It’s the same facial sculpt on all three. EG, BW White Suit and BW black suit. Presumably HT originally sculpted her face without hair and that was replicated to make the master pattern for each subsequent sculpt. They all use the same face with different hair sculpts. Paint is also different. But they all use the same face.

It has arrived and it is a beauty. I got it the taskmaster sword…Still have to break it out to fully try out the articulation.

It's the exact same head for all three figures, with different hair and slightly different paint. Looks like Scar-Jo to me 🤷🏼‍♂️

Are you guys still squawking about the noggins used for this?? @BLNadal did a comparison pic earlier and it went into oblivion, so here is Justin's take:

Note: I'm not in endorsing Justin's channel, if anyone is asking, just happened to see his review and made the comparisons. From left to right: Snow Suit, Endgame and Black Suit for those uneducated...

Look very carefully.. Same Scar Jo noggins, but different renditions. From what I read in the Snow Suit thread, a different team was working on the Snow Suit version, so there are variations between the White and Black Suit versions. Go read in the Snow Suit thread if any one is still not convinced and claiming that I'm spreading "False News" here.

Just refined it a bit after rewatching that fight scene…

I still think HT should have included the TM sword and not the shield as the exclusive item, but oh well…

Dare you try it with the Dark Saber @Starfleet Captain (screw the chat about “It’s the wrong movie series and different franchise). Hey, anything can happen as the technology is there.

Oh, I have a few different weapons. One of my main gripe about this MCU Black Widow is that while she is trained in all kinds of weapons, they keep focusing on her hand to hand combat and small arms skills! Where are her machine guns or sniper rifle? Not even in her own movie? Not a katana or mini gun? Not a grenade launcher or RPG? Come on! Batons are for Mockingbird!!

I seem to recall that Kat Everdeen uses a English longbow (I have not read or seen the movie, but I still have the crappy 1/6 figure of her from Star Ace - Black version).

I see 3z Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow has a bunch of weapons at their disposal in the respective packaging (although its cheaper and a bit lackluster than Hot Toys). Is Hot Toys trying to cut corners and charge various collectors an over inflated price on their own products while cutting corners and we’re just dummies going for the ride? I guess so..

After looking at this figure in this particularly awesome pose, there was almost a sudden urge to pick up Taskmaster to complete that scene at the debris field… for roughly 0.68 seconds… LOL

I am now waiting for the snow suit to finally show up (some day) and I will give it the AA-12 shot gun I got for the scene in the promo, but not in the movie…

I like this pose a lot, and overall I think it is a really nice looking figure.

I feel that this is HT’s best effort in getting a BW right so far. The sculpt looks very good in person and this (figure) body absolutely rocks, thanks to better proportions and improved articulation. It might be a tad undersized, but HT figures are not really known to be consistent size-wise across the MCU anyway.

I feel that this is the best BW until the inevitable IM2 BW 2.0 or A1 BW 2.0

P.S. the knee pads look fine the way they are to me

Thanks for the perspective!

I really like this version a lot, it does seem to be the best overall interpretation of Black Widow to this point.

I have the Civil War version and have been happy with it over the years. I think it looks really good but I think this new version beats it in the aspects you pointed out above and a few other things like the oversized zipper pull on the CW version.

Again having a one figure per character rule as I do, make decisions like this tuff because i will have to get rid of the CW Black Widow.

I also have 1 figure per character rule as well, except for Iron Man, Black Widow and Cap. & SW (soon) I have all the Widows and I will say this is my favorite thus far, and I believe I will probably like the white suit second given it’s the same body and accessories with a different color suit. Followed by CW in a close third position.

After leaving it in this pose for like 2 days, I realized the piping on the sleeve at the right elbow joint creased up quite a bit. So I straightened the arm and the piping didn’t go back to sort of normal until a good part of a day later… So I guess the moral of the story is, the figure will let you bend the arms over 90 degrees, and the suit will let you do that, too! But it will not like it… LOL

It’s interesting that with nearly every BW figure that HT have released I have always heard, it’s the best BW figure to date.

Struggling to decide between this and the snow suit. Both are pretty cheap from the Hong Kong sellers right now.

Not much of an MCU fan but the Yelena sculpt is soo good I think I just have to get that figure. She needs a companion. The Snow suit BW might make the most sense but if I only have one BW the black is much more iconic to her character.

Funny you mentioned that, if you look at just the head sculpts, then this statement is not true. Not all ScarJo head sculpts were created equal. Some can even say none of them ever succeeded in capturing her likeness. HT tends to suck on female head sculpts. But if you look at the engineering, accessories and tailoring in each iteration of BW, you can see the improvements of HT over the years. Not giants leaps, but improvements nonetheless. It’s the same argument as “The best iPhone to date” or “The best Terminator movie since T2”

I passed on Yelena because I figured she would get another fig from Hawkeye or another movie (Will have to see how she turns out in TB, assuming the BW mantle). But if you get Yelena, the iconic black suit Natasha should still work. The black and white contrast still pops on any display, and they spent the ending of the movie in that color contrast.
