Really hope the prison one is properly futzed on display and will dispell my doubts

Yeah pretty much looks exactly like their production video version, as expected. Now let's go back to complaining about the same thing for 20 more pages.

you are always faster than me on CF

Re Aragorn, I've never seen a figure go from bad, to great, to worse in a matter of hours like that one has. I expect it will look better in the next set of photos. We thought Joker looked uneven? :lol

Anyway, so happy to see that picture above of Joker. Now, as Hando says, lets dare to see Interrogation Joker...

Anyone else wonder why when he has non-jointed wrists that they keep NOT rolling his sleeves up when jacketless?

The 1/4th scale figure is so hideously vacant and devoid of any passion or effort whatsoever.

I remember being excited for the grenade rig, followed by the haunting disappointment of realizing he looked like complete crap actually posed using it since he can’t look to the side. It’s like he gambled on a fart and can’t tell if he won. It’s such a boring expression that can’t be used for any interesting pose whatsoever.

The figure doesn’t look anything like Ledger either - it looks like a bootleg head that’s been recast so many times it’s been softened and stretched beyond recognition - and the hair sculpt sucks. They gave him mob meeting makeup but then “tried” to give him hair based on the interrogation scene in an attempt to provide two display options, but thus failing at both. What was the point? Why not include a second head that was actually worthwhile? But no, they included that stupid half-paint sculpt with a huge blotch of paint missing to give the illusion that it somehow looks like Heath.

And then they had the gall to advertise it as “commemorating 10 years of JC Hong and Yulli collaborating on Ledger Joker figures” and not, say, The Dark Knight’s ****ing 10 year anniversary which was the same year.

But hey, I guess they finally got the blazer color right, and he includes the metal pipe this time! But the pipe has weird plastic “vent” holes that you typically see on cheap bendy figures.

Such a joke of a release all around. Truly the pinnacle of Hot Toys at their worst - when they’re full of themselves and without competition.

Oh, and the base sucked too.

Thank goodness for InArt.

I don't have a picture of the normal head prototype paint. But here's the half one. It still look off. And wasn't DX11 also sculpted by Yulli? How did that sculpt look so much better?

Look at the bottom of the vest and the v shape. The body looks totally different.

The vest already needs replacing and for the price it should be correct to start with. Until I see in hand collectors pics I'm not paying for a bait and switch.

I like the sculpts but when a $120 outfit set already looks better than a $1090 figure then that's worrying.

Agreed. In addition, the shirt also doesn’t look as formfitting as in the promo. A bit disappointing.

As if HT care. People still lapped it up.
That literally looks like if someone took the DX01 and DX11 sculpt as their only reference of Heath Ledger to make THIS monstrosity. Even the promo pictures don't look good, and the promo pictures make most things look good.
