I couldn’t remember with the other figures if the all in have you both the rooted and sculpted heads. If that’s the case then the decision is any easy one, a very painfully expensive one.

Considering Gandalf didn't have an "All-In version," I can't really see this one having one unless there are two outfit types meaning a full outfit version with duster and then maybe an even more dirtied up, but simpler, Helm's Deep version with chainmail. But otherwise, I only see there being 1 outfit and you choose the one with sculpted hair or rooted hair.

If Gandalf came as a two-pack of Grey and White, then I would suspect Aragorn to have Strider and King two-pack... but that isn't the case.
I'm fairly confident this Aragorn is simply Strider -- just a damn good one, and one that actually looks like Viggo. Granted, for $500+

yup! But that ~$500+ I think, while steep in terms of avg MSRP for a mass produced official 1/6 figure, is definitely better than buying one of the previous iterations then having to go through getting a custom sculpt, having that sculpt professionally painted and then rooted which would probably get you at over $1k at the end of the day. Don't get me wrong, these InArt releases are expensive, but when looking back with perspective, it isn't so bad in the grand scheme of things if we really are getting nearly custom quality rooted hair and paint work for these prices.
YET! with all that said, it's hard to keep putting faith in a company that hasn't released a single product yet. Sure the parent company (Queen Studios) has, but given that this InArt team is it's own division, we don't know yet what exactly the production pieces will look like.

Don't they only have the rights to Fellowship of the Ring atm? That would take the king version out of the running... for now at least. Personally I'm fine with this being a standalone figure, like Gandalf, and getting a king version later down the line. Unless ALL-IN includes the Nazgul.
Btw I saw something last week saying they have the rights to The Hobbit. Is this true? Not sure I'd want much from those films, but wouldn't turn my nose up at a Thranduil or Thorin in his golden armour.

Nah, there hasn’t been a set that includes both sculpted and rooted heads. I think the term All In has only been used on the Batman with both rooted figures and the Batsignal. I just like it as a way of saying I’m going for whatever the most ‘premium’ rooted offering is. No way am I even considering a sculpted Aragorn/Strider. You can’t capture that greasy mane in plastic.
As @Gipetto0812 said, Aragorn could definitely have a similar two pack to Joker where it’s essentially the same figure twice with a couple of subtle differences. Lose the duster coat, swap in a red under shirt and chainmail, dirty him up and done- if they have the rights to all the movies…
With just a few accessories and clothing items, you can cover every look Aragorn had up until the Black Gates battle.
Base figure would be his Prancing Pony/embarking from Rivendell look with the Evenstar, add a flaming torch for Weathertop, then bring in the Elven dagger and cloak for post Lothlorien/Amon Hen, then add Bormir’s Vambraces for Fangorn to Edoras and the arrival at Helms Deep, a red shirt and chainmail then gets you through everything until he receives Anduril and then he’s sorted up until the full costume change.
The only problem with this is the varying degree of dirt and weathering that fluctuates from location to location.

Aragorn is the only InArt figure that has me interested in the company. Price will be painful but if the head sculpt is amazing...

In for each and every LOTR character InArt make, I’ve waited decades for top of the line LOTR collectibles. Asmus never floated my boat, although I can see how they could fill a gap for some.
I would like to get a three hunters set to represent LOTR for my collection, but if I get nothing else I'd love a proper strider. None of the other versions have really looked good enough for me.

I’ll settle for Gandalf, Aragorn and Legolas (Asmus’ Gimli is fantastic); an upgraded Saruman would be welcome (but I’d like to see what Asmus can do with him).
Aragorn will be the tipping point for me. I passed on POing Gandalf (although I am certain I would be getting him on release anyway)... but if Aragorn looks great, then I will put in an order for Gandalf ASAP... which also give InArt a guaranteed Legolas sale from me as well.
Nazgul... now that I'm not too sure about. Price will determine.

Asmus Gimli is indeed good for now, but I'm eager to see what InArt can do -- if they're doing little Harry Potter, then Gimli seems like a sure thing.
Frodo I have less confidence in being made, especially if he's accurately scaled to the rest. We've never seen a properly sized Hobbit and I think people will be shocked just how small he'd be next to their InArt Gandalf. It would be a very hard figure to make (special body, really tight stitching, etc) and the cost would make it seem like a poor deal.

How tall would Frodo be in 1:6 scale out of interest? He's supposed to be what 3-4 feet tall in the movie, I think. Googling the question throws up all kind of weird numbers. Some are even putting Gandalf at 5'6'' and Aragorn at 6'6''. Surely not.
Throw Frodo in a 2-pack with Sam for $500 and I'd be all over that. Better still do a 3-pack with Gollum and charge $600-700.

See, that's what people are expecting. Half the size, half the price... but in reality its much harder to make the little Hobbitses. A two-pack could be $900-$1,000... and then people see the size and do exactly what you're doing -- saying it should be half the price.
This is exactly what I want from InArt. It's what I wanted from Sideshow's PF line but then they never made Gimli
I'd probably want Boromir as well but not as bad as the others. I do hope that InArt's Aragorn comes with Boromir's vambraces for that extra bit of optional display. Otherwise, I'll have to hunt down some Asmus ones
The fellowship is like a tube of Pringles, once you pop you can’t stop. I hope they get to Boromir, he is essential to a Lord of the Rings display. Asmus did well with the clothing and accessories on their figure but their sculpt is not as refined as one that Inart could offer.
Pretty much in line with what I was thinking. I really would love to see them take a stab at Frodo and Sam. If you go by the books you really need the two of them to make a LOTR display complete. Not sure how they could do rooted hair realistically on that size though.
The Asmus Gimli is definitely good enough for cricket!
