... I'm cool with the design, my biggest gripe was that we simply didn't see more of him in the show. He really stole the stage with his monologues for the limited time he was there.

I agree. The character had potential and the actor did a good job, as far as I'm concerned. Would have liked to have seen him more involved but I guess their plan was to use him basically for the surprise return.

I keep thinking that this guy might be be popping up in the Andor series. Obi-Wan Kenobi took place 9 years before ANH and Andor starts 5 years before ANH and coincidentally will cover the same 5 year period as Rebels. The GI died in 4 BBY so the timing fits without violating any established canon lol.
