Wow that looks so good. Thats a sideshow hair piece modified to fit the head? I always thought the rotj sculpt was good but it was the hairpieces that made it look off. I hate the hot toys hairpieces aside from the wind swept hairThis is probably mostly for other Luke afficionados like jedijim, but I'm doing a bit of musical chairs with my Luke hairpieces. Still not sure yet.
I'm just not 100% sold on the included Luke Snowspeeder hairpiece. It's nice for sure but it has a touch of the HT farmboy Luke copper tone (not as bad as farmboy) but also the shape and size feels just ever so slightly off. It almost reminds me of those hairpieces designed to have a hat over them (where its shrunken a bit toward the top area to allow for the hat.) Like it needs maybe 10% more volume and has these little "mickey mouse ears" bulges around the ear area almost like Carrie Fisher's daughter's hairstyle in TLJ.
I swapped it to my Dagobah arrival Luke where he's meant to be sort of wet from the swamp and Hamill's hair is less poofy and think it works better. I'm still playing around with my ESB hairpieces to see which one works best for a particular look - the ones on left and right are modded SSC.
I always struggle with HT and SSC hairpieces - I usually like the overall shape of SSC hairpieces, but the HT hairpieces tend to have much better sculpt detail and realsitic paint apps (HT's love of copper for Luke aside.)

Nice! What parts are you using from the Snowspeeder Luke exactly? I just got my second HT Luke today. Need to break it down for a potential Hoth figure.

Luke looks great, Chaka! Did you port over the belt too? And those pilots in the background look fantastic as well. What sculpt are you using for the A-wing pilot?

The B-Wing pilot sculpt, I dunno. Maybe Ray Stevenson.
On the A-Wing pilot I am reworking, I will be using HT Agent Coulson.

I just noticed that all the US retailers are pretty much sold out of this figure. And it’s one of the few that is not getting the discount code at Sideshow nor markdowns overseas. Which leads me to believe that it probably won’t be in stock too much longer.

Well.. not straight of the boxI removed the inner plastic and sculpt support tray to see how Luke would look displayed in the box... I plan to open him though!

How did you make that trigger finger (xacto-knife)?What a pain is the a$$ to disassemble the helmet the first time. I am helping a friend (who got him earlier than me) and we are not able to open it.
