I have a Marmit TIE Pilot and it’s…ok. I gave the helmet a few hits of clear coat to shine it up. I’d be down for a SS reissue though. They’ve recently put Jabba, Carbonite Han and a couple of others up for sale again, so maybe a reissue could be possible. I have the AT-AT Driver and it’s pretty nice too.
Marmit are quite ok figures indeed, especially considering they are decades old. There were some people who even repainted them and added better bodies, making them excellent figures.

They could make the different painted TIE helmets (there are at least 3 main versions), similar to what Medicom made with their Backstabber pilot.

If anyone could recommend a better body for the Marmit, that would be great :) Would the same thing work with an old Sideshow Stormtrooper? That body is floppy as hell. Thanks in advance.

For me the Marmit TIE pilot didn't really hold up versus the Sideshow TIE pilot (which is really one of the best troopers Sideshow ever did, though the stock body is a problem and I don't like the gloved hands) but I love the Marmit ATAT driver.

It had incredible sculpt detail and the paint app is gorgeous but I ended up selling my SSC ATAT driver (the helmet sculpt is just a little off ) and sticking with the modded Marmit ATAT which I thought had a better underlying sculpt.

The vinyl Marmit helmets/armor don't have the sculpt crispness of newer HT or SSC sculpts, or the modern paint apps, but I often find the underlying sculpts are a bit more accurate. I still like the Marmit Fett helmet, and the Marmit sandie helmet makes a decent approximation of the hero ANH stormie helmet for some reason.

I still believe that besides the true interest in accuracy from the Marmit guys, they also had some inside intel, because there are some very accurate parts (though softer) on most of their figures.

Yeah most of them are over 20 years old today yet there is something underlying in the sculpts that does seem to show hands-on with the props or something.

It's unfortunate about the slight softness but fortunately it's not all that noticeable unless in closer macro pics or looking quite up-close at parts.

It's a little weird that even with the 1/6 explosion that's occurred in the past 15 years with the massive improvements in accuracy and realism, not to mention the 3D print and custom parts revolution in 1/6, that people would still be gravitating back to Marmit parts from 20+ years ago.

Hopefully we see some stuff soon, the talk of the town is the gorgeous OS 1/6 Joker.

Even got me wanting to order it.

I consider Marmits as being classic figures. High quality classic figures.

BDAY20 can be used for $20 off an in-stock items, for anyone wanting more clones, stormtrooper commander or anything else

So if the rumours are true and 4-LOM is going to be in Kenobi, the million dollar question is, will HT make him and then because they have most of the figure made, will they make C-3PO?

And a Death Star Droid? Pretty please Hot Toys?
A DSD announcement from HT (sandcrawler or Death Star style) would literally make me pass out on the spot. :lol

Really hope they would do the correct unique hands seen in ANH though and not the 3PO-style hands mistakenly added to the suit for 1990s/2000s exhibitions, which caused costume-builder fans and even later shows/movies (Mando, RO) to repeat the error. Some fan-made and even those movie/TV DSD costumes also incorrectly add 3PO style leg and arm parts too - the ANH DSD has simpler smoother arm and leg parts than 3PO has. So hopefully a HT DSD would match the original ANH, not the later versions. I tried to match those unique hands on my custom DSD.
