Still up for PO on GianToys and OSK. Todd isn't canceling anything. This is a small unknown company in China. He isn't cancelling anything besides getting retailers to hide the listings at most.
Yeah I imagine that would be the only thing to come out of it. It will be funny if this pushed him to make an official 1/6th with a company like Threezero or something.

I would 100% get an official figure that's actually scaled properly. Todd did a great job with that Spawn figure Kickstarter he did.

I wish he would expand into the 1/6 territory.
I got the two from his kickstarter classic and modern but sold them later on. They where great figures, I would imagine an official release would sell better especially if threezero did it since they made an amazing Guts from Berserk.

Point taken. Although, I do buy most of my products from buttholes.

Todd can be and is a great artist when he wants to be, but his ego impacts his ability as an artist ranging from business to creativity way too often like his peers from the heydays of Image during the early to mid/late 90s before it all crashed.

Yep Todd and his massive ego.

I can't find it on GianToys site

It's still available from ToysWonderland too and shows up in a search.

Looks like they have the best price even after adding shipping for me. Unless the price they have on there isn't the final price. I don't see anything saying that's a deposit price...

It's up to you, but don't be surprised "after the fact" whenever the figure is produced and released that they will honor the priced stated and ship it out to you . . . unless they claim some shipping restriction and they'll need more $ from you to have it shipped "expedited".

The preceding is an unscrupulous practice a number of vendors are engaging in lately forcing customers to essentially pay more under questionable circumstances if they want their figure or possibly risk forfeiting their deposit, etc.

But hey, nothing like learning the hard way through a miserable experience and losing money right instead of being cautious, ask questions, and just believing whatever praise, etc. you read from others?

I sent them an email asking about it being the price. That's why I'm asking several questions here. I've never ordered direct from a China website for something like this. I'm trying to do my research and ask for people's experiences. You sound like you order from a lot of these places. Which would you suggest as the best place to order from? If I were to get a figure like this in the past it was always after release and via ebay or something. Never pre-ordered any 1/6 other than from Sideshow or some other US sites.

Hmm, made an account and logged in. Still can't find it.
I think you need to have had a purchase from them before. It's still up there for me.

I believe Asia/HK and possibly US vendors (and probably distributors if they have not already) are preventing images of "unofficial" offerings from being viewed by non-customers on their respective sights to avoid C&D/IP problems caused by prying eyes and of course "snitches".

This is what the hobby is resorting to. School yard bullcrap. Who would have thought?

If my post/reply came across as being blunt/rude/sarcastic directed towards you "personally", that was not my intent.

Experience have taught me the majority of collectors are driven primarily by price nowadays and tend to be dismissive of other said/unsaid considerations. No matter how often seasoned collectors chime in with their recommendations with or without biases, collectors new and old, experienced and inexperienced, etc. are mostly looking at the bottom line of price and supposed reasonable risk (i.e., the assumption that PayPal will protect them) regardless of hard lessons experienced by other collectors.

Why?

Across many groups such as this one, there are always those who "prefer" certain vendors for whatever reasons regardless if the vendor have a reputation of screwing over certain collectors because of the "I've never had a problem with them so why should you?" mindset.

If you're in the US, then you may want to consider looking into seeing if any US vendors maybe offering the figure. Sure. It may cost more, but you have some acceptable risk considerations such as the vendor is in the US compared to overseas.

I'm not going to "tell" you to pick whatever vendor because then if something happens . . . you get the idea. It's ultimately your choice to make the decision and have the knowledge and/or ask questions.

Whether you choose to believe or dismiss the information you're provided along with if your bottom line is purely driven by the cheapest price delivered and you're not swayed by input from others for whatever vendor is going to determine ultimately where you're going to order this figure from provided you really want it.

I already stated a recommended vendor within this thread and that's my final answer. Another member have the audacity to imply that vendor's price is higher without ALL of the facts IMHO. I know that for a fact because that member did the same thing in another discussion group.

Good luck to you on whatever vendor you choose.
