I didn’t find the fight with Maya to really be a girl power moment or any slight to Hawkeye, he could’ve killed her and didn’t want to, she took advantage of this and caught him off guard - I suppose you could argue that he should’ve been prepared for it. Also couldn’t help but think that Echo is cool, but who the hell was asking for a solo show for her?

Love seeing Kingpin. I’m working my way thru DD Season 3 as I hadn’t watched it yet, and I’m reminded how good this series is. I’m also reminded how I absolutely can’t stand Karen :lol I don’t think there’s a moment this chick isn’t quivering or crying and she looks like she perpetually has a cold and a runny nose.

Yeah I had no interest in Defenders then and still don’t now lol.

Bullseye is the highlight of S3 for me. Just watched the part where he attacks the office in the Daredevil costume, loved his use of improvised throwing weapons. Guy is absolutely lethal.

ETA Dex as DD looks waaaay better in that suit than Matt lol. Sadly, I now want the HT DD.

Pardon if this is too off topic, but I figured since The Big Man is in Hawkeye it’s not straying too much - rewatching DD from the first season and forgot how brutal this show is! Just watched the part where Fisk kills Anatoly. Somehow I don’t think we will see this level of brutality with KP or DD moving forward, which is a bummer. D’Onofrio is so damn good in the role and I’m eager to see if he factors into the final episode.

Also, anyone else a fan of Jacque in this? I get a kick out of his misquoted little sayings. He’s such a smug character, but seems genuine-aloof. Would be cool to see him as Swordsman.

I think it’s still possible to get the essence of these characters in the MCU. I always thought those Netflix shows were a bit sadistic and gratuitous anyway. If you get a good filmmaker you can still do violence and have consequences without it being r rated. Just look at what the Russo’s did. Of course in lesser hands it could be a waste of everyone’s time. I don’t think D’Onofrio would want to do it without getting his hands dirty to speak.

Very good point, and I tend to agree - I’m not a fan of gore for the sake of being edgy. Above all, I’m just happy we’re seeing these guys again.

Very curious as to how they’re going to wrap up Hawkeye in one more episode.

It probably won’t be a longer episode but I hope it is they have a lot to wrap up.

Same, my man, it’s such a tease. Feige really knows how to rope us in though lol. It’s still pretty amazing that we are even getting this quantity of superheroes in film/tv, and at this quality - the multiverse version of me where I’m still a kid is going crazy right now watching all this stuff LOL

The DD show was great. I love it and I rank it: S1, S3 then S2. It was a lot with 13 episodes per season, but DD is a true dramatic character I can't get enough of. In the MCU maybe we can have more of a fun DD/MM than what Netflix brought us. They got wrapped up in GoT and killed some good characters that they shouldn't have killed off in S1.

Not sure how I’d rank them yet since it’s been awhile since I watched 1 and 2. Interested to see how they’ll play him in the MCU, I hope he’s not just relegated to cameos and stuff.

My thoughts exactly on Echo. Seems they are relying on more popular supporting characters in some of these shows to entice people to watch.
 
I hope MCU DD and Kingpin won't be used in ways that flat out contradict the Netflix show - because the show was good. Although I've heard there might already be a contradiction with Kingpin and the end of DD season 3, which I actually still haven't watched. It's been so long I kind of feel like I have to rewatch season 1 and 2 again before embarking on the third.

3rd was good enough but not great like the other 2.
 
By the way I presume it's spoiler-city in the Spiderman thread. Been staying out the past few days. Other than the couple of youtube cam-segments I initially watched, I've seen a few cam-screenshots on twitter but nothing that has spoiled anything for me really.

Probably not gonna be able to see it till after Christmas sometime. :banghead
