Yep. I’m not familiar with the Ronin character in the comics either, so it may be more complex than that.
Speaking of comic stuff, did Barton wear a hearing aid in the books?
Again showing my comics ignorance but this show is the first time I've ever been aware of him having a hearing issue.

Florence Pugh, by way of somewhat staying on topic, is with Zach Braff who's in his mid forties. She felt compelled to defend that on social media. There's quite a lot of anti-age gap sentiment out there. I've seen Leonardo DiCaprio called a ''child groomer'' because he still dates girls in their twenties. Bit hyperbolic, and not really crediting the women with very much agency of their own which is what Florence took umbrage to in a video I saw somewhere.I had a 20-year old gf when I was 32 and it was fun while it lasted, but having that as a reference point (along with some other younger girlfriends over the years) I still prefer women in their 40s and I'm not so much the marrying kind (so far anyway), so 'settling down' isn't really a consideration. My criteria are fitness/healthy lifestyle, self-awareness/intellect, and a bunch of things I won't say on a site kids can read.

It's a complex issue and the mob wants a blanket ruling.
When I was 32 I was an idiot and a good match for my 20 year old girlfriend; I treated her with decency and met her parents, etc etc.
At 48 I wouldn't date a woman in her 20s because no matter how accomplished or smart she is, there's an experiential and emotional/intellectual gap that usually results in some disproportionate imbalances, and of course reality sinks in wherein you have to question (cynically) what each party in the relationship is after due to those imbalanced power dynamics. Yet I would argue it's not impossible.
The Twitter Mob et al (whoever they are) need to accept that a 20-year old woman has free agency with her mind and body, along with all the risks associated with that. The flip side of the coin is that a 40-something adult has a responsibility to recognize if they're in a position of power over someone and not abuse it. I would argue that Florence Pugh for example, has a significant amount of power and knows exactly what she's doing, age notwithstanding. Add to this a changing world where people live longer and marriage/kids is not everyone's goal nor is it forever.
You can join the military at 18 and be sent to maim and kill other human beings, but you can't have a drink and if you have sex everyone freaks out.

I started rewatching the show last night and it's reiterated how much I enjoy it. Gotta say, there really hasn't been any eye-rolling "pandering" moments for me, Hell Clint even said "Merry Christmas" to the store clerk when they were getting their med supplies lol.
Kazi is the curly hair guy with Maya. In the comics I think he was the head of the Tracksuits and he was an assassin too. Edit, here you go:

Usually Hailee always seems like the youngest member starring as a cast member of a film or show with people much older than her …so to see Florence play opposite her ( who is the same age ) is nice to see for a change .

Watched the latest episode today, enjoyed it as usual. I didn’t find the fight with Maya to really be a girl power moment or any slight to Hawkeye, he could’ve killed her and didn’t want to, she took advantage of this and caught him off guard - I suppose you could argue that he should’ve been prepared for it. Also couldn’t help but think that Echo is cool, but who the hell was asking for a solo show for her?
Love seeing Kingpin. I’m working my way thru DD Season 3 as I hadn’t watched it yet, and I’m reminded how good this series is. I’m also reminded how I absolutely can’t stand Karen
I don’t think there’s a moment this chick isn’t quivering or crying and she looks like she perpetually has a cold and a runny nose.
