Star Wars: Episode IX - THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

No amount of time will ever change what I experienced watching TROS in the theater. I actually felt physically sick by the end of it. I was so stunned that what that movie was supposed to represent was the culmination of 40 years of a saga that I had enjoyed on so many levels was nothing more than a sloppy, board room-(barely) written exercise of was assumed to be fan service and attracting the broadest numbers possible. The "story" had the depth of a game on the back of a cereal box, the visuals made no sense and even the actors looked uncomfortable and embarrassed.

This movie won't stand any test of time other than to be a reminder of how the Disney company doesn't understand the gist of what they own.

Star Wars effectively ended when Lucas sold the company. Yes, there have been a few brief glimmers of good like RO and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. But the agenda-filled productions that are currently on tap, the failed shopping mall masquerading as a theme park attraction (Galaxy's Edge) and the contortions of the Lucas Story Group (there's an oxymoron if there ever was one) to make excuses for the failures and provide answers for questions that didn't need answering are just showing how irrelevant SW is becoming under Disney.

"Rise of Skywalker" will always be the singular example of that failure.

I know right ROTJ was such a mess in what was at that time an out of control George Lucas Story Group i’m happy that George finally came to his senses post PT by giving Disney the blessing to use his ST blueprint for TROS and then allow Lucasfilm under KK careful watch to bring back the PT actors under more competent hands lol

What you mean lack of imagination had them change each film?

I mean that Disney / kk/ Jj had a lack of imagination with regards new ships and creatures and outfits… it all kind of stayed the same from film to film.

GL new how to sell toys / use his imagination. New ships / characters / aliens by the dozens for each film… Both OT and PT.

I have always said the ST needed a little GL and the PT needed a lot of Lawrence Kasdan.

Nah stop jaws. You know full well those fans wanted something and they didn’t get it. It was new. And they hated it. They cried and whined that it wasn’t like the original that’s why Disney made this soulless cash crap to stroke the nostalgia of you people and make you consume the product.

yea you are right. The PT had soulless acting but the story is where it’s at. People remember the PT and people love the PT.
You know why? Cause of the st and how bad it was. That’s a part of it. The st elevated the OT cause it sucked. Rots was the only good pt movie til the ST came .

I was all for this as I said. So this has nothing to do with not giving me what I want. I just no a crap story when I see it. This has nothing to do with growing up with anything. There is a lot of stuff I grew up with that I think suck ass. So your whole point is invalid. But yes I grew up with the PT but that isn’t my reason for liking rots. I like Star Wars. Sue me that I I can tell from a mile away that this is garbage with horrible designs, music and development. I’m sorry but hey.

I honestly believe that the PT was saved by TCW cartoon and is a big reason people love the PT today. It fleshed out and humanized the characters for sure.

Nah stop again. Star Wars was pushed heavily by Disney . It was everywhere also toy r us had midnight openings. What are u talking about? I remember reading about a force awakens midnight opening in my area. And toys r us was all but dead by this time.

I don’t know if you were too young for when TPM came out… That push was amazing.. you could not turn your head in a mall without seeing something TPM related. Hell there was even a Duel of the Fates video on MTV . It was everywhere. Personally I loved it. Even after I was disappointed by the film.

Well I didn’t care where Luke went. I knew he may have died. Also I didn’t have a problem with his death scene. Lol that was a clever comeback
