Still mulling the shoretrooper from TBA but kinda glad I only pulled the trigger on Lando for now. I've never bought from this type of seller before, but people keep talking about TBA and TW (and I think "Timcent" is the same as one of these sellers.)

For some reason I'm getting totally hammered with e-mail ads from TW as soon as I placed the TBA order. :lol

Yeah TBA is Timcent. Kinda weird as I’m getting loads of emails from TW too!

I just looked up reference images for the wrist link, to check how Lando wore it (and on which wrist), and it looks like HT have corrected it since the promo shots:

The original was flipped, and looks a little less detailed.

Anyone got this HT Lando and the Sideshow Skiff Lando ??

Would be interested to see what the SS looks like with HT sculpt on.
Won't be an easy swap because this HT sculpt has a neck I believe and the SS one does not. Someone would need to be pretty committed and basically do a body swap.

My order with TBA still says "Preparing to Ship" when I track it. I guess there's a delay because of the typhoon.

The figure and especially the head sculpt looks fantastic in Justin's video.

Justin did confirm my concerns with the shoulders, though, but I don't see it as a big problem.

That backdrop looks quite nice...that crease however does not.

Link, your collar looks great in that pic. I just ordered a second lando so I can also have the non cape look. Insanity, but who cares. He can pilot my jazz falcon until you know who shows up. (Kidding). This figure came out way better than I expected. So happy for this and bring on snowspeeder Luke.

Nice pic! Hey, Hot Toys…you know who would look great in that photo?:stick

Thank you I futzed and shaped it a little bit , I’m very impressed with this figure overall.

That's the best I've ever seen the headsculpt. That shadowing lessens the kinda-smirk perfectly.
Thank you , and yea the shadowing definitely helps lessen the smile. I love the smile but they could’ve toned it down a bit

There's a very thin wire floating around in the collar of the cape that is completely useless for posing, and there is no way to keep the collar tips down as it is, so I just added a tiny drop of glue under each tip and glued them to the cape. Not sure why Hot Toys didn't stitch the tips down like they've done on other similar things. Maybe they couldn't because of the faux leather material of the collar (which will no doubt disintegrate in time anyway).

Yeah, I will likely do a tiny black-thread stitch to address that collar.

And yeah that pleather on the upper boots already looks extremely concerning.

I recently discovered the pleather on my SSC Tusken's waist belt had gone bad (only the waist belt for some reason - the waist pouches and bandolier above were 100% fine) but I really haven't had much Sideshow pleather go off despite its age but HT seems to use a poorer quality pleather that seems more prone to going off so I am worried about this figure with the cape trim and collar so visible.

I wonder if sliding a heavier wire into the collar would do the trick too?
