Yeah there's definitely room for improvement on that one.. I had considered picking it up and not using the sweater anyway and just going with the N Peal pants and the R&B henley, boots, suspenders and belt... I you've seen the film (no spoilers) I had wanted to do a custom of that final scene in that attire... but definitely wouldn't be using that BB head sculpt...

I think we’re all in agreement an official Craig Bond figure is far overdue. The countless third party figures clearly show the demand is there. Most of them struggle to nail his likeness though. Hopefully BCS can nail that and get one released by 2030.

BlackBox did a fairly decent version of Bond in the tactical outfit you describe.. (Sweater and tactical pants made by N. Peal) Only issue with theirs is that the sweater appears to be black instead of a navy color. Look for the Blackbox Stalker figure on ebay.
The outfit of that BlackBox figure is what I was referring to yeah. The figure itself though doesn’t look the best. Mainly the head sculpt and sweater look off to me. That look appeals to me more than Bond in a suit or tuxedo though.

I know classically Bond often wears a suit or tuxedo, but I tend to find those looks somewhat boring in figure form.

I agree. I had 2 full-suit Bond figures (Craig and Connery) and sold them both just b/c to me, there was nothing visually interesting about them compared to my other figures on the shelf. I think part of the issue with that tactical version Blackbox figure, is the body is just a standard narrow shoulder type body. With that outfit set up, you need something with some muscle imo b/c it's more form fitting to show a little more of Craig's muscular physique. The blackbox version seems to be sold out in most legit places (at least at the original price). Ebay prices seem to be a bit inflated now that the movie is out and it's difficult find at the usual places.

Actually there’s a (very bad) unboxing video on yt where the figure appears better proportioned than the promo shots. What really bothers me, apart from the ebay inflated prices, are the cargo pants. They are made of a cheap plastic instead of fabric. That’s the worst part for me.

Regardless, I think it would probably benefit from a body swap to fill it out a bit more. Something with bigger arms. Craig is a decent sized guy (at least in my minds eye of what he “should” look like), so for my purposes, if I were to get one eventually, would be to put him on a different body. As for the pants, my only guess is they probably were trying to go for something that looks like a water resistant type material. If they’re supposed to be a cotton fabric then it’s obviously wrong. I’m not going to pretend to know since I’m not all that savvy when it comes to Bond. He’s one of those characters that close enough is usually good for me, though I know for others, it’s either 100% or nothing at all.

Everytime I see this thread gets updated, I click on it expecting a new figure announcement...and I get disappointed every time :(

All the Craig sculpts out there are from him in Skyfall and beyond. I personally prefer his outfit and general appearance in Casino Royale - younger, slightly longer and less neat hair, and black tuxedo with Peak Lapel. All the third party figures out there have the same Shawl Collar suit, and different but equally poor head sculpts with neat, almost gelled hair. Pretty disappoiting to see that there isn't much variation. The Eleven version looks to be a big improvement to all the other versions in terms of quality, but Casino Royale is Craig's best bond film, and probably the best Bond film of all time, so I don't know why no one bothers to replicate him in that film. Really hoping BCS do give us Craig from Casino Royale soon.

I’d settle for the long overdue Timothy Dalton Bond at this rate. Think Craig could be several years away from even a reveal if indeed the line keeps going.

:lol I really don't remember anything about the Dalton era except running into an ex girlfriend at TLD screening and banging her the next night. So... good memories I guess. :)
Just got the Baron on eBay for €215 shipped which is less than retail I think. Hopefully, it’s not my last figure from this line but the lack of news doesn’t bode well. I presume Greggo doesn’t post anymore?

That's the only Craig Bond we need...A nice deluxe set with two sculpts..one battered and bruised. A 1/6 poker table/chair with cards and chips etc. Maybe have a removeable chair seat to re-enact the ball bashing scene🤪

I'd love this setup on the shelf

Throw in a Le Chife to go with him and you’d have a really solid set. They could go so far as to have Vesper and Felix as well to really round out that scene.

It does seem like the natural 'three' for CR would be Bond, Le Chiffre and Vesper. That would be my personal 1st choice.

But Danjaq may go with popular Skyfall and just do a 2 figure set -- Bond and Silva -- which would also make a nice set.

I can't imagine a QoS or Spectre set. Verdict is out on NTTD... but its tough to pair Bond with anyone I would want on my shelf from that film (despite loving Ana I don't really want her on my shelf). Snowsuit Safin with broken mask would make an interesting doll on its own but doesn't pair with any Bond.

I'm surprised we haven't even gotten a tease of a Craig Bond yet. Now would definitely be the time, as pretty soon all the hype and excitement will be about the new actor playing him.
