I’m really surprised a lower end company like Neca has never picked up the license in recent years. Must be a killer licensing fee. Even though it’s mostly a bunch of guys in suits, there are plenty of interesting looks throughout the series.

It actually comes down to what Barbara Broccoli likes. She came down hard on SSC when their figures weren't so good and nobody apart from BCS has dared to approach her. She could be why there has never been an official 1/6th Craig.

Big Chief were sharing posts about the new film ages ago.

I would appreciate it if they stopped ******* around and just said they're making something.

It would be cool if they went back and made figures from Casino Royale and Skyfall.

It's disappointing to not get a Craig Bond before he retired from the role.

Surely they're making a Craig right?

Surely they're making a Craig right?

You would think so but there hasn't been any sign of him yet. Remember if not for Covid No Time To Die would have been out 18 months ago. You would think they would have tried to have it released around the time of the movie but maybe they're aiming for the 60th anniversary?

It's strange alright how we haven't seen a Craig figure from BC by now...Strike while the irons hot.

Me thinks it might be more to do with Craig himself and his image rights.

You would think his likeness right would have sorted out when they did his contract(s) but who knows. I could see wanting to space the Bonds out but not having a Craig done by now is strange.

I believe what matrix was getting at was that Craig himself, or his agent/team, is being picky and constantly rejecting the sculpts that BCS is submitting.

Nothing BCS can do if Craig keeps saying 'No'. They are contractually allowed to make merch using his likeness, but Craig has to give his approval, and if he never gives approval ... people continue to give BCS crap for 'not striking while the iron is hot'.

As it stands right now, we have two Bonds in the 5 years BCS has been producing Bond figures -- one Connery and one Moore.

Even by HT standards, that is a very slow pace. 2.5 years per Bond figure.
BCS are churning out more pre-orders than product. They have 30 pre-orders at the moment (including 2/3 packs, Variants and the Zavvi re-releases)...and that's only the 1/6 scale figures!

I've had some dealings with EON and Danjaq and I can tell you they are very hands-on in every way. It's more likely they are deciding which figures BCS can release and in what order.

I also heard quite some time ago that they were not interested in toys when Craig came onboard -- and that agreement to Craig may still very much be in effect. While he's Bond, maybe they are just honoring that agreement not to "toy him up" and cheapen the new direction.
