What happened to the Secret Base photos posted earlier?

Just watched Justin's video. He mentions the helmet gap as being carried over from the Scout in The Mandalorian whose head was too big.

However, down in the comments section of the video there was a link to this one:

At 18 seconds you can clearly see the same gap:

Justin usually reads all the forums to get information before his reviews, but demand requires him to get these reviews out faster and faster so he's not doing as much research as he used to.

He will certainly revise his opinion by the time this makes it to his unboxing video.

I believe this was mentioned before but...

It may be good to find a more recent pic of the Mando Scout for comparison, and possibly edit this composite?

The Mando Scout on the left has his cummerbund cinched way too tight. The elastic strap that connects between the legs 😳, has been velcro'd up too high in the back, which pulls the whole cummerbund down causing the the gap under the chest armor. the entire rig can be worn higher if adjusted correctly.

This also exaggerates the front nappy fold and crunch appearance, because the piece is wider at the top where its connected to the cummerbund, and this wider section is now being forced between the legs. When adjusted properly, there should be no folding as the front piece passes to the back through the legs.

Sounds painful doesn't it😬? And looks even worse🙄, Lol.

☕😉

Imperial Scout Creed... "Thou shalt wear thy cummerbund properly, with piety, high and right!"

I forget who did this one...

Its not just the cummerbund, check the holster, the pants (strap vs pockets), belt buckle, cummerbund stitching, chest armor, shoulder armor, mouthpiece, can't see it but the backpack vent thing is different... I'm sure there's more...

In fact this gap (to a lesser extent) is present during the bike chase scene. So, it seems like movie accurate.

I like that pic...

Oh totally War-Gar,
I agree completely with you on the obvious differences of the two Scout versions. I see them plainly too, many subtle changes head to toe. 👍

My comments/opinions above are limited to the Mando Scout's disheveled appearance. I'm just speaking on the adjustment of the Mando cummerbund alone, and how it came out the box from Hot Toys. Which looked better (IMHO) than the composite pic that often is used to represent the Mando Scout.

I do think that droopy look is more accurate the S2 episode 7-8, which fits the scenes the Scout's appeared in the show. For me personally, I've found that making adjustments to it did improved the look, comparied to the frumpy comedic vibe they had in the show.

Can't imagine what shipping will cost, but I just paid $505+51.06tax=$556.01 at Sideshow before shipping, so yes, closer to $600 for the bike set.

I'll be looking to applying much of my reserved rewards for these when the time comes.

I suppose some us here may have saved up large amounts of rewards that could pay for a good portion of the total cost? Will you dump all of them or do you have a strategy to spread them out next year?

I'm dumping ALL mine. Hoping to make some more during Spook before I place my order though, but I think the old codes are done for... and I don't have time for their new participation games.

They've gotten sooo stingy with the rewards codes now.

From having only a limited amount of people getting them, not to have people participating in games. -_-

So lame.

They seem to become less generous regarding reward codes. They give less and they expire after a year. Without reward codes LCDN will be cheaper.

The codes are not even close to worth the time it takes to stalk them. Spook hasn't been fun or worthwhile in years. I wish they just offered better incentives to order stuff instead of lame advertisements on social media.

Yours already looks like the HT with the fern'd stand and all. Why even get it?
Because my collecting focus are OT Imperials, and I don't mind having the HT version too, and I'm not collecting anything besides this focus. If they look ok together I'll keep the SSC Scout too. The SSC bike might be for sale though. We'll see
