Just finished this. I thought it was decent - pretty much on par with Spiderman FFH in the post-Endgame output. Beats all the Disney+ shows for me.

it's hilarious that people cry for these women lead movies but don't support them. i don't understand it at all. They whine about men in comic books but flock to see them instead of the woman lead movie with a strong female character. Absolutly baffles my mind.

They cry about female representation in video games and but don't mention lara croft and her many films.

So I just come to the conclusion that twitter just likes to cry and complain. They love the white men lead movies but they think it's cool to complain about them. They don't actually want to see a strong female lead character or anything like that. They want to see white male loki do his funny little antics.

They wont even go to see original Female lead action movies.

A few years ago my sister in law was spouting on about how there are not enough female action hero's and that its a woman's turn to be James Bond.
To that I said. " Did you go see Atomic Blond?"
She said No.

Not to defend the box office drop, but a lot of it has to do with the movie premiering on Disney+ the same day. Not only will that kill repeat theater viewings, but it will also alarmingly add to the piracy of the film.

F9 saw a similar domestic box office drop on its second weekend. It's currently leading because it's got a two week head start.

Worldwide box office, F9 had a China release and that market is more likely to be affected by piracy so I doubt Black Widow would be able to catch up if/when it gets released in China.

I watched Dolby Cinema day one, Thursday then IMAX on Friday. My mom's kinda paranoid though so she kept nagging me to cancel my tickets. Of course, I still went.

We're still in the middle of the pandemic. I expect most folks still don't feel safe going to the theaters. With the rising cases due to the Delta variant, we went back to stricter disinfection policies at work. The pandemic more than streaming or piracy is the biggest problem. Heck, I expect it's why Disney even offered Premier Access since they just can't delay release any longer. Box office alone would lose them money. PA would at least reduce the loss.

Lol truth. They get upset about male dominated media but the all female ghost buster movie bombed hard and the the newest ghostbuster movie is getting more hype. So I don’t understand the issue. It’s just to complain and cry on Twitter about how unfair things are when they aren’t .

Charlie’s angels is a great example of a woman making a movie for women and then it bombed hard. Then the director turns around and cries about how men would rather see Spider-Man than Charlie’s angels which is made for women.

durrrr! You made this for women and not men right? Like seriously. Each time I hear a blue check mark cry on Twitter about male dominant society or we need this or that I think back to the chick from the boys who said anger sells and that she was deep down a bad person who played into the trends people follow .

I haven't paid attention to Twitter since mid-2020 when I also completely nuked Facebook. Life is better now. That's not even snark. I'm actually enjoying better mental health and an overall sense of well-being relative to when I was exposed to the sum total of human ignorace and rancor.

Twitter is a cesspool of perpetually offended people looking for the next thing to be outraged about. It wouldn't be so bad except media outlets treat Twitter like it's the best source for information and will form entire articles around a handful of tweets that support their point of view.

A contract is a contract so not really petty. At the very least, she should be getting a share of the Premier Access earnings.

WB had to renegotiate contracts when they put new movies on HBO Max so directors, cast, etc. got a portion of streaming revenue.

Disney is going to try and argue that they lost money big-time on the movie due to the pandemic therefore she is not entitled to money that doesn’t exist. I would agree that they either lost money or are poised to lose money if they are forced to pay out her entire contract out.

Only the insiders precisely know how her contract is written.

Is she being greedy and unreasonable probably not it is “show business” not “show friends” after all and nobody knows that better than Disney.

This is a huge embarrassment black guy for Disney’s MCU reputation so I think they are going make things right and pay her the up to 50 million she is seeking for or else risk having the entire MCU cast taking her side on social media and that would be really bad…yikes!

Looks like Disney pulled the plug on All Access because of the bad sales from BW

They already set Jungle Cruise with the all access option…but that might be the last film giving you this choice

Of course..I was referring to the big picture they wanted to offer all access to upcoming movies

I think Jungle Cruise might be the last film you can do this since it opens tomorrow

Originally the plan was to do a lot of Disney produced films ..some of the phase 4 MCU projects as well as any new SW films that were being made in the future because of the Pandemic
