Not gonna lie- I wish that’s where the line would have started. The TNG outfits are more iconic.

I’m sure there are reasons for starting with First Contact though. It hadn’t even occurred to me before receiving it that it’s the films 25th Anniversary.
I would have a lot more possibilities to fail in 1/6 Trek without First Contact. This First Contact series is clearing the landmines for the coming 1/6 Trek.

TNG Data is a sure thing but because of FC version, it will be awhile before we can reach TNG Data. Of course, TNG Data will be a figure with his own uniqueness (Data is Unique), and he will also make the FC Data much more meaningful and appreciated because of their differences but common nature.

Furthermore, it is TNG 35th next year. I got to make a big deal out of TNG's Birthday.

TNG and FC Data are meant to complement each other, right from the start. In this 1/6 Trekverse, I am Doctor Noonien Soong 😁

Something's afoot that isn't Trek.

I wonder what it could be.

I always had a feeling it would be this:

Nanjin, are you really going to do Battlestar Galactica figures as well? I would die for a BSG 2004 Reboot Starbuck, Apollo and Bill Adama.

I'd prefer upgrades to these guys, but again, both would be nice.

I don’t want this to go ignored so I’ll ask again,

nanjin,

my data box was crushed to hell, I read the posts prior and I understand the blame was pit on the curior but nevertheless I disagree and feel the packaging was not strong enough and remember even the old WMX boxes were sturdier

what do I do in this case? I don’t feel this is fair for what I paid for and would like some recourse. The value of my figure has now significantly decreased for resale. I’m not planning on reselling it but things happen and if that ever does happen I don’t think it’s fair I should have a destroyed box

Contact where you buy it from, they will take care.of this (I assume.is from EXO-6).

I don't deal with shipping

So far we only experienced 2 cases including this one with shipping.damage. But will do some changes in our packaging.

Technically speaking, to be fair, this is an insurance claim for Courier unless we use inferior shipper boxes. Reinforcing only reduce possibilities. Seriously, I think I am using the strongest shipper boxes.

We can add a service fee for additional packaging. But it will sky rocket the shipping fee because of the size.

Pretty sure the courier is at fault there whether you agree or not. Maybe you could ask the customer service to double box and bubble wrap it. Probably cost you extra but I’m sure you’d pay it.

I am a no boxes dude and a bit cautious on creating extra non-essential waste for mother Earth. I do minimize waste of plastics or papers. I took out the printed instruction and replaced it with a video instruction (not perfect yet) through the QR code printed on the box.

I understand there are all box inclusive collectors out there. I will make an across the board packaging reinforcement and have contacted production to add corner protectors for each figure packaging like Asmus. (We do have corner protectors but onmt for bulk cases)

I will look into Extra packaging option too (this will surely add $5-7 in extra shipping cost)

Hopefully, my Data will arrive without damage, but if it does what it is going to force me to do is either one of two things:

1) Cause me not to buy any more figures, or
2) Buy those figures through places like BBTS that ship their items better.

Your choice on what you plan to do nanjin, but I doubt I would be alone in taking either of those actions if figures were received as badly damaged as I've seen on this forum.

Scan this and watch. Feedbacks are welcome. Some mistakes like Phase Rifle instead of Phaser Rifle. We will finalize it this week.

More detail instructions and insights for the coming figure.

I think paper instruction manuals is waste of money, resources, and eventually became garbage one day.

Your decision to buy from anywhere. I will make adjustments but I will leave room for vendors to have some competitive edges.

EXO-6 is a direct producer that doesn't need to go to any middleman so we have speed and “surprise” gifts. Others will be slower in delivery with lower total price.

Mostly bulk shipments go on water, then custom clearance. Move shipment to warehouse, then ship. We charge more because of international shipment, but we just put a label on the package and ship by air.

Trade off. I am not going to monopolize the market.

Will the Borg Queen have any articulation?
Really want her in my collection however I’m not a statue collector- I feel even a ball jointed head will make this statue easier to swallow as you can at least get SOME change of expression from her

I’m curious about the Borg Queen as well. Wondering if she’ll have any articulation or interchangeable parts. Also wondering what the price point for her will be.

I have received some badly damaged packages from Asmus but it has never stopped me from buying from them directly. Getting the figure earlier ranks higher to me than a pristine brown box or even the actual package as long as the figure is safe. The worst packages I ever received have been from Sideshow. I had one that was so bad I have no idea how the figure remained undamaged. Asmus’ corner protects seem to work pretty well overall though so adding something like that might help a lot.

I would recommend using bbts if you want the box to arrive in perfect shape. I do not think I have ever had a damaged package arrive from them. Sure the outer package might be destroyed but they use so much protection inside everything is fine. Also they can ship for $4 which is not a bad deal in my opinion.

Personally I don’t think too many people will let a bad shipping experience stop them from collecting the line entirely. Dara turned out too great for that.
