Teased at the end of their latest video! I'm definitely holding out for a different comic Iron Man as well, you know it's gonna come sooner or later.

I had the first comic where the War Machine suit shows up. I absolutely have been hooked on that character and suit since.

Please Hot Toys, don?t plastic War Machine!!!

I don?t see any crystal covering over the armour.
Either say what you are going to do and actually make a comic book version or not at all.

Is this clear plastic gimmick the biggest miss HT has ever had? I am trying to think of another universally panned concept they showed but nothing in my recent memory hits this level of head scratching...

Oh man. I really never cared to get a War Machine, but the comic version is #1 for me. Getting into comic looks is bad news for the wallet. The clear plastic is a huge no go for me though.

If they ditch the clear plastic crap, I'd be all in for a classic comic War Machine. I'm not even an Iron Man fan, but the classic figure takes me back to being a kid in KB Toys, looking at all the ToyBiz figures.

War Machine was always one of my favorite characters as a kid, and I didn't even know anything about him. Just thought he looked cool.

If enough people complain about it, maybe Hot Toys will backtrack on the clear plastic, or at least make it completely removeable.

So, why do I feel like this is gonna become another Iron Man line?? :(

Come on HT, so much potential with a Marvel Comic Line. I'm fine with a classic Iron Man (if the clear parts were removeable) and this War Machine, but please let the eventual next figure NOT be another Iron Man.

Go for the core original classic Avengers... Comic Cap, Thor & Hulk!!

If they do Thor, I hope they make a new giant body for him. Comic Thor should tower over all other characters, not like that puny Sideshow figure.

Yeah, I was so excited when the SS comic Thor was teased and then announced, but the execution was horrible. Was hard for me to pass on that, but like you said the body was pathetic. I mean, they gave Wolverine a much bigger build than Thor!! The head sculpt wasn't bad, The costume was ok since the fur was removeable and even Mjolnir was ok (a little small and plasticky looking), but that awful body was a deal breaker.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I've gotten so bored and tired of MCU figures, a comic line has the potential to completely revitalize Marvel figures, for me anyway. I know I'm making a mistake doing it but I'm excited thinking of all the possibilities. Imagine a classic 1960s Fantastic Four set.

It's no surprise they start the line with an Iron Man, but I sure hope they continue with other characters.

It's a smokescreen to distract from the fact that Venomized Iron Man is still in production.

Comic book accurate Iron Man without plastic = one of the greatest HTs of all time.

Comic book accurate War Machine without plastic = another one of the greatest HTs of all time.

Hot Toys = let?s give em plastic clear parts.

I read something earlier today about Warner Bros. not giving two ****s about what it's audience actually wanted from it's DC films, and I feel like this may be the same argument.
