Godzilla vs King Kong

Yes, it will be curious if/how they explain the size difference. The USS Saratoga from 2014 is a fictional American Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. which at 333 meters means its only 4 meters shorter than the longest in the world (Gerald R. Ford class). I suppose this one could be a new, mega-sized carrier built specifically to engage monster threats, so assuming Godzilla has shrunk based on it may be incorrect. It could just be both Kong and the carrier are larger.

I feel the same way, I feel Godzilla should be the superior of the two in the rivalry.

Was just thinking of something--some of the shots in the trailer could be intentionally changed where they are showing Godzilla instead of Mechagodzilla so that they can keep the appearance more secret. They did that with the trailers for Godzilla 2014 where several shots had the Mutos removed and even entirely different things happening in shots.

The first shots of the trailer have Mechagodzilla so maybe some of the shots that look like they could be from that part of the film later in the trailer that show Godzilla are actually supposed to be different.

Trailers are about selling the movie while trying to keep secrets. The look of the MUTOs was hidden in 2014 and the HALO landing was an entirely different shot of Godzilla. There was also a shot of the MUTO flying towards Godzilla in the Asia trailer that didn’t make it into the movie. The greatest offender in my eyes is the inclusion of Hulk in Wakanda for the Infinity War trailer. If he was part and we just didn’t get that exact shot, it would be one thing, but the character was never there at all.

The actual film could differ quite a bit from this trailer for sure, they’ve also had almost a whole year, during which they could have created more misdirect shots. However, you can only advertise so much that isn’t in the movie before it borders a bait and switch.

Yeah I don't quite trust some of what we've seen.

The aircraft carrier fight image is the money shot for all the marketing however I wouldn't be surprised to see it different in the film.

That doesn’t really make sense though, it’s not like a theater competing for audience who are only going to see one movie while they’re there, people are home, once they have HBO Max they can watch to their heart’s content, you could watch Justice League and Godzilla back to back.

As my above post says.. Sounds like HBO is losing faith in SC.

Oh well. I am still looking forward to it. Mostly out of curiosity. We haven't seen something like this since the Exorcist Prequel.. Bad news is Both of those versions sucked also so I don't expect much out of the SC.. WB fired him for a reason the first time.

I don?t think he?s overrated i just think he?s not a good film maker and terrible at telling stories and the only reason DC fans rally behind him is cause he?s the one and only person to make a DC universe and bvs film. All of his movies have been nice to look at but just terrible story telling and choices.

I hope this is the end we see of him cause DC deserves so much better .

Pretty much. Gvk is gaining more traction and popularity than that movie. Well everything they showed so far has been meh..

I still love 300 and think that his Dawn of the Dead remake is pretty solid.

I think the only reason DC fans are supporting him is because they hated the JW cut and they are assuming that this has to be something better. Which I think it probably will be but that is not saying much.
