Such a great looking figure and a solid release, but after 5 months I just wasn't quite in love with it. Didn't "wow" me quite as much as some of my others Hot Toys, so I just sold it off tonight!

One for the UK guys,

Agreed that this figure is a quality figure. Definitely one of my favorites in my overall collection, and probably currently the jewel of my MCU collection.

Just considering getting this. How accurate is he to the movie? I remember early on people were saying the armor wasn’t right, but it seems ok to me?

I believe that if you need to ask what the inaccuracies are, you won’t be bothered by them.
If you see something glaringly obviously then perhaps it should impact your decision but fishing for unapparent minute details which HT may have missed just sounds like looking for a reason not to buy.

[FYI, I have no idea myself If there are inaccuracies and don’t care. I finally opened him last week and he is mighty impressive. You’re not gonna get much in the way of poseability but he makes up for it with sheer presence.]

Depends on what movie/scene you like. The HT suit has the neck armor extended, so it matches the few minutes of Thanos in armor in Infinity War in the opening and the Gamora flashback

And briefly bloody Thanos in Endgame on Sanctuary II

After that, interrogating Nebula through the final battle, the neck armor is down

Pretty much every toy version took the lazy way out and never updated the look for Endgame from IW. Fine, you say, its not supposed to be from the final battle in Endgame. The battle damaged one is the same HT suit, crudely distressed. Disappointing if not at all surprising anymore

I vastly prefer the actual movie look, not just ascetically and practically (he can move his neck now!), but it is literally the point of the scene that time traveling Thanos v2 is a cocky little **** who thinks he's destined to win no matter what, so of course he wouldn't even wear his armor all the way

Awesome thanks man! yeah definitely means a “no” for me on the battle damaged version which I was considering too. I could MAYBE get over it for the clean look Bc at least it is accurate to the design. But agree would prefer it to follow how he looks in endgame

I'm all about screen accuracy but I had to make an exception in this case because the armor + infinity gauntlet look is exactly what I wanted. The gauntlet is too iconic and the armor adds so much to his presence. He did appear like that in IW and briefly in Endgame so in a way it technically is movie accurate.

Yeah, it is missing some weathering compared to the proto but I couldn't bring myself to pass on it just because of that.

So you're going to deprive yourself of the only HT representation of a figure, just because of a couple of little things not being exactly like in the make believe film.

Damn. That's almost masochistic.

I honestly don't care if this guy isn't 100% screen accurate, he is easily one of the most impressive Hot Toys figures I have ever purchased.

I have made the armour weathered, it?s not accurate to the film but as stock the armour looked like a toy to me the gauntlet now looks plastic what do you reckon?

STOCK.

I wanted to ask, would it be possible to get him in the sitting pose he took waiting for the stones to be brought to him? If so, what would be best to sit him on?

A company called B92 Toys are making a 1/6 throne for the hot toys Thanos figures to sit on......:)

I can't imagine getting him to look very natural in a seated pose.
