Working on Prowse. Trying to finish the hair, so I can have it fused to the face model. First time I've tried to sculpt hair digitally, so I'm open to suggestions regarding improvement.

Go big to small. Start on the big details, get the form and volume right of the large clumps. Then work on the secondary clumps within those larger ones. Lastly work on the fine strands and the 'texture' of the hair. Looks promising!

I completely missed your reply. Thanks for the suggestions. It actually prompted me to look at it again more closely and found that the skull shape wasn't right, so I'm in the process of correcting that so it looks good. Of course, that has thrown my hair sculpt awry a bit, bit I'll work it out.

In the meantime, here's a small update on the prints. Slowly getting the first 4 on the list sorted, making sure everything is perfect before it's time to ship out and approach the next two on the list. :)

Wow, seriously can't wait to get this!

Funny how I'm still struggling to see much of a difference between the HT and true scale - maybe it just isn't as stark as I thought it would be.

Yeah, such sad news to hear of his passing.

Things are ready to ship and we've gotten shipping quotes and have written the first 4. We have also contacted the next 3 on the list, as those orders has to be shipped to the same address. Let me know if there were any issues or errors.

Since this is the holiday season we were concerned that funds may be low and due to the crisis, so if there are any issues, please let us know and we can figure something out.

Just received news that the first has received. Looking forward to hear feedback on the kit and hope it's everything people are hoping for.

Just got a whole airbrush kit. Airbrush, compressor, paint booth, and everything, in anticipation of this and a few other projects. My Fett custom has been on hold since COVID started because I need to paint some parts before assembling the helmet.

What I find to be very strange is that I can find no paint tutorials for Vader?s ANH helmet on youtube.

Anyone use Archive-X paints? I want to know if I should wait the eternity for their acrylics, or just start buying the enamels they already have in stock. I know the benefits and drawbacks of both paints, but I don?t know if enamels will damage the plastics that Hot Toys uses. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Dr. Odd, it's still possible to get on the list. I'll pm you the details.

I am making a paint guide. I'm having it reviewed currently to see if it is too word extensive. I did up 9 pages for the ANH - finished - and will start on ESB and RotJ shortly. May even put those in the same guide as they are not as demanding and difficult.
