That's my biggest hope. I wasn't surprised by the limited accessories from TOTS, given the pricepoint and being their first venture into figures, but I'm hoping Sideshow will come through with some quality accessories.

Even though Michael doesn't come in contact with it, would love a scaled replica of the credits pumpkin, there are some nice custom ones out there, but pricey. While not a major accessory, the knitting needle would be a nice nod to a key moment, maybe a coat hangar, the Bob ghost sheet and glasses, Judith's tombstone.

The way Sideshow seems about accessories on standard figures these days though, I imagine this will be the figure and a few hand options, possibly an alternate bloody knife, though the knife doesn't get bloody in this movie.
I was thinking the Ghost Bob sheet, glasses and telephone would be great accessories as well. But you are probably right. Itll be the figure. A few swap out hands and a plastic knife.

Would be nice if they offered two heads. One with sculpted hair and one with real hair.

Nice to see more Halloween 1/6 figures...so far I think tots headsculpt looks a little better but the body proportions and hands (clearly) look better on sideshow. Of course who knows what the tots will look like in actual production but it’s cheap so it’s worth a risk. Waiting to see the price point on ss figure $220-240 is my guess

Damn, forgot the phone, that’s a big one, I wish I had a figure back when those were offered so I could have jumped on those.

As for a faux hair head, I’m not sure Sideshow has done that and if so, not in some time and not sure they’d be able to turn out good results. Pretty sure it would look like the ThreeZero Myers.

I dig it. I think I still prefer the TOTS version as of now though. I'm just glad we have options. I am apprehensive on how either will turn out in the end though with Sideshows track record and this being TOTS first foray into 1/6.

Faux hair on 1/6 will look awful and age terribly imo. Stick to sculpted. I hope Sideshow gives us a knife, pumpkin, alternate mask sculpt with a lowered, more accurate hairline and neck needle hole and an alternate set of hands. I don't think that's a lot to ask for such a simple figure and for the $220-240 they're going to price it at. The Sideshow piece should have blown TOTS Myers out of the water and so far it doesn't. Some slight tweaks would be great but I'm glad Sideshow is doing horror again. The fans want screen accurate though

I am liking the sideshow, will wait for in hand pics and vids.....would like to see this come with the telephone.

I havent preorder the ToT yet. Was waiting for final product to finally decide. Right now leaning toward the SS I would probably swap the head out with my custom Caine Latex Mask version.

But again, also waiting for price etc. Dunno if I will have to preorder this one though? Might sell out. ?

I instantly ordered the TOTS as soon as it was up for order, and even with this reveal, I'm still in for that figure only for an entire figure.

For me, the ultimate Myers figure would capture the look from these images.

For me, the TOTS mask is perfection, if I could have a dream '78 Myers sculpt, that would be it, I can't wait to get it.

That said, each figure has pros and cons.

TOTS

PROS
- Mask
- Overall Tailoring
- Price

CONS
- Tight Jumpsuit Waste
- Less Lifelike Hands
- Limited Accessories
- Jumpsuit Color

SIDESHOW

PROS
------
- Tailoring
- Jumpsuit Color

CONS
- Hair Sculpt
- Stitching
- Price
- Body

I think Sideshow did a solid effort and if TOTS weren't out there, I'd be all over theirs and glad for it, as the customs are just far out of my price range, but with competition, I'm more picky.

Sideshow can certainly pad the Pros list with accessories if they go there, very curious to see what the final package comes with.

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but shouldn't the flesh color on the neck and around the hairline of the mask not be there? I was always under the impression that the flesh color on the neck was more of a Halloween 2 thing, I've seen the original movie dozens of times and never noticed any fleshtone on the mask, and I've watched Tommy Lee Wallace convert old Kirk masks on youtube and he didn't leave any flesh color anywhere.

This is my amateur lighting/photo trying to capture that Carpenter feel.Screenshot_20200727-175442_Instagram.jpgScreenshot_20200727-175320_Instagram.jpg

Call me lazy, but I'll take a Sideshow piece that costs more but that I will hopefully have to do minimal work to in order to get it display ready, over a ToTS piece that, even best case scenario with sculpt and outfit turning out okay, will more than likely still take a heck of a lot of work to bring it up to shelf display standards. I was willing to do that work if it was the only option, but it isn't the only option any longer, so I'll be rolling my dice on the Sideshow at this point.

I might still pick up one (or more) of the sequel releases from ToTS down the line, depending on how they turn out and how much extra work I'd need to do, but I'm still very wary of how their pieces are going to turn out based on their history.

Hears my major beef with the SSC one.....

He looks like he is grinning......
