Those are fun shots there, darthkush! Glad to see someone having a good time with this figure.

Yes indeed. Its funny. I had several figures on sideshow I needed to pay off: Emperor Palpatine, Black Panther and this one. All 3 are great but so far this Obi Wan is my favorite of the 3 which is ironic because of the three I actually considered cancelling him because of the final product sculpt. So glad I didn't. He is so much fun!

I'm eager for this to hit my POL at BBTS. I'll ship once this and hopefully Deathstroke arrive.

Yup 100 percent all paint man! The power of paint can be pretty significant often enough to give the illusion of structural changes

If it's not too much to ask, could you recommend which paints you used, with regards to brand and colors? I think I may want to put my fine arts skills to the test and give this a crack.

Not at all, I always use a mix of acrylic flat Tamiya paint. I only really ever use the primaries and black and white...You can get it at any Hobby shop or on amazon. I use their brushes too especially ultra fine and very fine micro brushes.

Can we crowdfund to buy you another head and then have you record a youtube tutorial on it lol. You did some amazing work but I'd be afraid to touch up a HT head.

A little off topic paint question; if you screw up with acrylics can you wipe it off somehow without removing the factory paint below?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)

Yeah I find rubbing alcohol works great for that, and it doesn't damage the original paint at all. At least when it comes to HT heads since they seal those so damn well.

Im really digging baby Luke and hologram table, such fantastic accessories to be playing with.

Nice Obi-Wan collection there!

I think I'll probably be the only one not using that two pointy fingered hand though. I know it was his signature move but it just looks weird and goofy to me in every pic I've seen so far. :p

Same here. Not a fan of it.

Also, great pics Pizza. The Mythos Obi actually holds up pretty well next to the two HT Obi Wans... might have to pick him up. I really dislike the yellowing of the chest vs the clean arms, but he's such a cool figure

I think the sculpt looks at its best in Pizza's pics, especially in this one:

Nice job, Pizza.

As far as I know (I searched the topic) the figüre is released in HK in April, and arrived in SSC stock in June (8 weeks). Is it right or did I miss something?

Nice! I really like that “I will do what I must” pose. Very creative to also have his cloak lying beneath him.

Nope. Not even close to the only one. Mine has never left the box packaging, and never will. Its goofy to me.
