I agree about Daft Punk. The soundtrack is one of, if not the most memorable thing about Legacy.

Oscar-winner Jared Leto has confirmed his involvement in a reboot of Disney’s Tron franchise, after earlier reports linking him to the project emerged. However, Leto, currently starring in Blade Runner 2049, said that things were still in “the early days” in terms of boarding yet another ’80s-influenced project.

“It was a huge movie for me as well and I do think there’s so much potential in that world, there so much left to be said,” Leto said in an interview with Collider regarding reviving the property. “I’m absolutely game to try to help in any way that I can bring that to life. It’s something that we’re in discussions about and very much looking forward to bringing to reality. It’s very early days though.”

No writer or director is attached at present although Tron: Legacy co-producer Justin Springer is involved with Leto and his partner Emma Ludbrook is also in talks to produce. Disney had planned a sequel to 2010’s Legacy, which followed up the 1982 original and saw Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) trying to rescue his father Kevin (Jeff Bridges) from the virtual reality world known as The Grid.

Babyface anti-Jesus - wierd role, total miscast.
Now the villain of TRON rebutsequel...

As much as I like him, his latter roles in big movies are terrible.

Yeah, I thought for sure we'd have a sequel before now. Legacy really broadened the world and left so many opportunities to explore. There's an absolutely great movie to be had there.
