The words 'I missed out' in conjunction with any HT Nolan Batman or Joker figure. People have had multiple opportunities. If you managed to miss every single one - tough. That is all.

I do not mean to contest your disposition about the said people but I'm one of them. And yes, in spite of multiple opportunities, there are other aspects of life which take priority and we 'miss' out on those chances (second, third, fourth....).
Of course, I too get irritated by peeps who constantly whine about it making it evident in their posts. Express your disappointment once and get over it, IMO.
