Didn't see a thread on this so figured I'd make one.

The third part in the "Blood and Ice Cream trilogy", following Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, starring once again Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Also included in the cast are Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Eddie Marsan.

Directed by Edgar Wright, who today announced on his twitter that it will be arriving in UK cinemas much earlier than expected on July 19th.

He also said this today that the trailer will be coming very soon, and told people to guess which film it'll come along with. I'm thinking the trailer will be attached to 1 of 2 films. Either Star Trek: Into Darkness due to Simon Pegg being in it, or Iron Man 3. Odd choice normally, but since Edgar Wright is directing Ant-Man it's not entirely possible for the film to be attached to a Marvel product.

I saw a rough cut of this last week. It's fun, but more of the same. thats good and bad, if you know what I mean.

big silly alien invasion at the end which feels like a good flashback to shaun.

These guys are super talented. I really looking forward to it. Martin Freeman is superb too.

Paul was one of the most attrocious misfires of comedic people coming togeather in recent memory. Just absolutely thorough in it's un-funniness. It was pretty heavily the fault of Simon and Nick. Simon was equally hackish and un-funny in Star Trek. I really hope these guys actually "try" this time out, and with so many other end of the world movies like This Is the End coming at the same time it seems like a meh jumping off point. Edgar Wright is the only reason I'm optimistic. Without him, they just aren't funny it seems.

While I liked Paul it certainly wasn't what I had expected and so in the long run I'm glad it isn't a part of this "Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy".

The first two installments have been absolutely brilliant. I can easily re-watch both Shaun and Hot Fuzz at any time, and still enjoy them. I can also quote many different lines in actual day-to-day life and have people understand the reference too. I don't want to have high expectations, but let's face it, they're already set. I'm really hoping this film will have a similar feel to the previous two.

This looks like an english, more adult, "sophisticated" wit version of "This is the End".

They all just keep churning out the same stuff.

I didn't think Shaun was all that funny but I like it. I think Hot Fuzz was funnier from what I remember of it but again only kinda funny. Didn't see Paul,no interest. Ill check this out when it hits USA or FX or something.

Hmmm. Not loving the look of this one. They all seem a bit too old and a bit too fat now.

Spaced was awesome. Shaun of the Dead was good. Hot Fuzz was a bit....meh. It's is the same people playing slightly older and less funny versions from the previous outing.

I'll probably just wait until it's on TV. And even then will probably only watch it if nothing better is on.

yeah. This looks better though, like you said, a more adult sophisticated version of that other movie.

Between the two movies I am more excited for this one. I think this will be great :yess:

It looks exactly like they combined Hot Fuzz and Shaun, zombies that glow in a small cultish town, nothing remotely original about it. :dunno I didn't laugh at all and the fence gag, really, again?
