At least they know how to clearance. Wal-mart will mark something down 50 cents and call it a clearance item.

Yeah, TRU sucks even worse. Knocking 1 cent off doesn't make it clearance! I used to work at one and that is literally how we could tell. If if ended in .99 it was a regular item. If it was .98 or some similar, it was clearance. The employee discount of 10% off was always better than waiting for clearance.
