But yeah, this trilogy is about the future...not the past. That was to be expected....and we knew that already.

When Lucas first spoke about the sequels it was expected they would involve the original cast, and would be following on not too long after ROTJ.

As the years passed the hopes faded, and for me the Sequels became less necessary, and less wanted. That's why I feel no necessity to watch these. I'm curious as to plot points, but essentially they will be meaningless fan fiction.

To be honest, now that my expectations are lower, I'm probably going to like this film a lot. It's just the beginning of something...it might be good.

BB-8. I was joking when I said he was gonna fall down stairs. But he does. Worse? 15 minutes of screentime. Not involved in the plot at all.

I think it's obvious that thing is comic relief. Clearly no R2 dispatching Battle Droids ala ROTS.

I was going to post this above, but backed out, now I see it repeated elsewhere.

I'm gonna go ahead and post it. We'll find out in like 2 days anyways.

Reading some things on TFN. I'm not even registered, and I can't verify anything. But some guy is dropping some supposed spoilers...they seem to match the pastebin.

This guy claims to have gotten information from his friends who went to the premier. They seemed to have liked it.

Finn -
The movie simply doesn't say whether he's force sensitive, but he's good with the lightsaber (That could just be his friends being impressed with the choreography) Says that he goes "from coward to hero" and seemed to think it was a decent arc. Coma at end of movie. Rey takes him with her to visit Luke, while he's still in a coma (I guess he stays on the falcon with Chewie?)

Rey -
We don't know who her parents are. They are only glimpsed briefly, it's a question for a later film. Rey/Finn actually are crushing on each other. Hints that Rey takes Kylo's arm in their duel.

- Seemed down on the movie, but once again, matches the pastebin. He posted his ticket/nametag thing.

He says a bunch of stuff. Kylo isn't as good as he lets on. That his real name really is Ben.

Says the fight plays out as : Kylo knocks out Rey. Finn stands up to him. Kylo knocks the saber out of Finn's hand. When Kylo see's it's Anakins saber, he tries to force pull it, but Rey actually force pulls it first (She's stronger with the force). Rey cuts HIS hand off. Doesn't say how Finn gets hurt.

Seems to be a little discrepancy. The reddit poster doesn't think Finn/Rey are as close as TFN guy is saying. He seems to think it's more friendly, but later acknowledges some flirtation. He thinks Finn not being FS is conclusive although it's never stated in the movie.

He also seems to imply that Han is a bigger role in this movie than expected. From what I can tell, the Rey > Han > Finn idea seems to hold true, at least after they actually find Han. He views Finn as a comedic sidekick, notes his humor a lot.
Poe/Phasma/Hux not in the movie much.

Calls Snoke a "gigantic smeagol" because he appears as a big hologram.

I haven't gone through everything. But both seem to, at least loosely, agree with the pastebin (But both seem to have some differences with one another). Could all be ********. I dunno.

I'm...maybe starting to believe the coma theory.

I don't care whether the film is good or bad. As far as I'm concerned if the plot pans out as expected then I won't be admitting it into the canon.

I've already said it was 30 years too late, so whatever happens is inconsequential.
