Jack Hanna and the owner of Sea World are the only 2 people I've seen express any remorse over the trainer. Everyone else says poor whale. :lol

Whales and Pandas. They can get away with ____ing anything!

All those people that said she deserved to be eaten after all the years she abused the Orca are the same ones that don't want you cutting down tree's in order to stop unwanted fires... Some people are just dumb.. My prayers go out to her family as this is a horrible tragic event.

I feel bad someone died. To die like that must've been awful because of the job the person had. Kinda like Steve Erwin, dying at the very hands of something you love.

I feel for the whale too because of the circumstances it's put in. Kinda like those elephants that go nuts after giving hundreds of rides at zoos and parks.

I didn't see anyone saying they didn't feel bad for the trainer and her family. She had a job with wild animals and sometimes these things happen... its tragic for all involved.

Funny how some news correspondents are blaming the whale. Its a whale. Its an animal plain and simple. Silly humans think they can control and train everything.

And if the whale has done this before, The park should be sued for negligence.

Holy crap that's scary. :horror

The whale attacked his captor. I think I see the whale gloating over it with that big grin on his face. Said marine life tend to live shorter lives in said captive environments, by the way. If someone had you in a cage for years, how would YOU feel about it? The trainer knew the risks. It's sad when people die, but when they die because they played with sharks or Killer whales, who is to blame? The Killer whale was just being himself.

The shoe's on the other foot now. :lol

I'm sure from the trainer's POV, it's the same shoe. It's very sad, but it's life no less.

Maiming/death is just a risk that people take in using animals to their own ends. I see no problem with domestication. Granted, some animals don't take to it at all, and the risk goes from 'possible' to 'probable'. At that point, it becomes an issue of intelligence. Was it really a good idea to keep that lion in your Manhattan apartment? No, dumkoff. It wasn't.

But horses? Dogs & cats? All wild at one point, and the relationship thus far has been pretty beneficial for both parties involves.
