There is a current hacking campaign that has affected accounts on this forum and elsewhere around the internet.

The hacker has accessed several accounts here in order to use them to post spam.


For safety it's recommended you change both your forum password and the password for your associated email.

Is this a "new" hack? Different from the one two days ago?
If we already changed it, Are you recommending we do this again?

As to the e-mail are you saying change the email associated with the Freak account.
Or the actual password associated with our personal email?
(Unless they are the same password?) How could the possibly get that?

It's the same ongoing issue.

No, if you changed them already there's no need to do it again.

I'm trying to get the word out since the Board Business thread isn't showing up in the new post list, so can't be bumped.


It's advisable to change both your forum and email passwords for security.

The hack is widespread and currently affecting many sites.

And anyone who uses something like gmail, is basically now having to change their entire Android ecosystem password. That's no short order, and it could log them out of a lot of things/devices.
