The IJ series has it's share of spooky scenes that as a kid are pretty terrifying and unsettling to watch and definitely leave a long-lasting impression. What scenes in the series do you find to be the most frightening?
I think in Raiders when Satipo's corpse is found is pretty scary and also when Marion stumbles onto the tomb with the rotted corpses and of course the Ark ghosts/demons at the end. Seeing all of that at the wee age of 4 or 5 years old for the first time is definitely pretty traumatizing
And of course most of Temple Of Doom is downright frightening and nightmare-inducing. The entire Thuggee sacrifice and ceremony, the bug chamber, Indy being forced to drink from the skull chalice, etc. scary as all Hell. Even with PG-13 being non-existant at the time of TOD's release (which it caused the creation of), I still find it quite a shock TOD got away with a PG rating then with how incredibly dark and malevolent it gets with it's violence and imagery at times.
Although not as frightening as the mentioned scenes in Raiders and Temple Of Doom, Donovan rapidly aging to his skeleton was pretty freaky as well, especially when his skin starts to rot off. That was both creepy and nasty to see.
