Ray Liotta, the legendary actor known for his career-defining performance in crime classic “Goodfellas,” died in his sleep while filming a movie in the Dominican Republic, according to reports Thursday. He was 67.
That's a shame. Farewell, Shoeless Joe Jackson. I must admit, I had him pegged as older than 67. Saw him on the streaming series Hanna not too long ago and recall thinking he wasn't looking that great.
What a loss. Too young. Watched him in Many Saints Of Newark the other week and he’s amazing in it. And watching Voir the other night reminded me I have to watch Goodfellas again.
A surprising age for him to go. He didn't look well though in retrospect.
Goodfellas would make my top 10 movies if I go outside our favoured genre of this forum. Just a totally absorbing film with Liotta being fantastic in it. Also of note to me is Copland and No Escape. I've seen Field of Dreams mentioned a lot in twitter tributes but I haven't seen that film in over 20 years.
