Really curious to see how those TWoK figures turn out...

Funnily enough Roddenberry argued the opposite (at least regarding TOS v TNG). He always thought TNG was closer to his original vision and even wanted TOS stricken from the canon.

I'm making my way thru the 50th TOS blu ray collection. I saw in one of the extras where Roddenberry hated what they did with TWOK. He never wanted a Starfleet or military slant to Trek. Also apparently the first movie was such a mess because of him constantly fighting and rewriting everything.

I'm working through those as well. Is it on the final disc?

Yes. They were all very interesting and revealed a lot of behind the scenes and concept stuff, including script ideas never used. Fun stuff.

On board for McCoy & Scotty, but Sulu definitely needs some work. The Mezco Sulu is closer in likeness even at a smaller scale.

Yes I noticed that the Mezco Sulu was a slightly better likeness. That won't stop me though...

I was going to stay with just Kirk, Spock and Bones (and now Khan) for TOS but I feel myself getting pulled in...
