So after having this for almost two weeks I can say that this piece is till amazing and is the perfect pose for Predator.

It is IMO easily the best 1/4 scale Predator out there and it seems that the 1/3 will take the title of best 1/3 Predator. Not to mention Best statue ever regardless of genre.

My only negative I have about this piece is that the longer i have it the more brown he started to look. At first site I was just so amazed at how perfect the sculpt, pose, and base are that I thought the skin tones were, while darker, close enough to the film version. But as I said with a bit of time it really is obvious that Prime 1 went more for the cover art paint style rather then what they promised us with the Promo pics.

I think the fact they are making a movie accurate 1/3 scale is one of the, if not the main reason they changed up the colors a bit.

If the paint matched the promo pics they would be a perfect 10 out of 10. As is its close and the one thing that the owners of the SWS statue will always use to justify that theirs is the better statue. :lol ;)

Anyways browner paint or not its still amazing and I cant stop looking at it.

Masked and closed mouth are my fav. Gort I will never use. Open mouth is still great and I am using it right now. :)
I agree. Normally I would start to lose interest by now after receiving a new statue, but I still find myself randomly walking into my theatre room just to stare at it lol. I don't really notice the brown paint, but I think it's because I got mine positioned under strong LED lights.

Despite what some people think, I don't personally think the skin tone change was intentional. I think this was a factory stuff-up. I've seen skin tones change on statues before where it wasn't the companies intention but the factory painted it that way. They probably just thought it was good enough and accepted it, or maybe it was intentionally darkened a bit as they assumed most people would display it under strong lighting (where it looks normal).

My statue is OUT FOR DELIVERY! Hells yeah! This is my first prime 1 piece! Before that I've only ever bought around the $400 priced statue, so super hyped for something of this caliber!

I'll take better pics when I cool off but on BOTH closed mouth and open the paint is bubbling up, some looks like decals that go over wrinkles in the sculpt.

Here's a better example. Hard to see on still image but ima make a video. For the price that's insane, idk if you all say that's how it is but one never seen that on a $400 statue.

sorry buddy, maybe you got a bad paint job! Send it back if you feel unsatisfied. I felt satisfied with mine. Then the gloss added that final touch. But I will be getting the 1/3rd. But I love the pose and the whole presence of the statue is so killer but it had some issues, the paint was flat. I admit that. But I didn't have this problem. I actually painted it a bit more and then glossed it a few times. But do what you think you deserve bro. I wonder if any others received it like this, like yourself. Strange.

See I love painting statues though and making them better! But I feel like they should have made it perfect. Plus I see a line on your open mouth pred mouth. Wtf is that. I do see flaws there. Very strange indeed. Take overall pics if you can.

Is it a lack of primer or a reaction to heat, perhaps? That's some scary stuff. Haven't seen anything quite like it.

The Patten on the heads is a decal. That bubbling effect you got is also on one of my heads in like 1 or 2 spots. It's just the decal that wasn't applied correctly I think. I just pushed it in with my finger and flattened it.

Yeah it's absolutely the decal, I can see how they didn't apply it right because the decal is OVER wrinkles leaving strings of paint, it's not one spot or fixable. It's the entire head.

So the entire head has that problem? Yikes. I'm sorry man, I know how long you've been waiting. That's disappointing.

Ya man contact P1 and get two new heads or where ever the problems are. That is unacceptable, really is.

Yeah I'm contacting them for sure, easier to see on video but it's seriously like they used a water slide decal technique or hydro dripped and botched it. The entire head is affected. It gets better, they some how dropped hundreds of their paint beads in which got crushed, and dusted the body, unreal, I don't demand perfection, but this one should never have passed QC.

That's absolutely unacceptable, clearly a manufacturering defect during production. It should never ever have been sent out. Don't wait, shoot them pics, videos and an email asap, I'd be so livid if I received a piece in that condition. Would ask for a refund in shipping and for the parts to be shipped express at no additional charge. This is almost a 2k statue and your first Prime 1 piece, you only experience the initial butterflies and excitement once (not the same the second time around). Just not on, poor form by Prime 1. I'd also ask them to take videos and photos of it before shipping (I did this before with one of mine and they agreed) to ensure no corners are cut and you receive the best pred heads possible.
