My first head paintup - Burt Gummer "Tremors"

Hi All!!

After reading tips here for a while, I tried my first head paintup!

This is a resin cast of a Burt Gummer head from the TREMORS film franchise (I love those movies!)

I learned a ton by reading here, and a ton by doing this paintup - Cant wait for the next one!

If anyone is curious about the head sculpt - It is a resin cast of the 2-up sculpt for this canceled SOTA toys playset:

Great work! Obvious question of where did anyone find the 2-up from that figure?

Kind of a funny story - Somehow, a friend of mine ended up with the molds... I think the actual figure is long gone!

Does he still have the Graboid Mold?

I WISH he had the graboid - He just got the head mold

Anyone have tips for photographing heads like this? Its a little blown out because I had to tweek it in photoshop...

What do you guys use to get the eyes nice and glossy? I just used a brushing of clear nail polish - - Anything work better?

Nice job! And I just use the cheap clear acrylic gloss from Hobby Lobby on mine.
