Packed away my BS and SHF Vaders for comparison but here is a height scale with the SHF Maul and Stormtrooper

Thanks for the pic :) He's definitely bigger! Is it possible there's finally a 6" scale Vader that's as tall as he should be? Both the figuarts and BS were too short. The only fear I had was his head looked too small. Hard to tell in pictures though.. Overall though I think he looks great. Looks like they took their 1/6 scale and miniaturized him down to 1/12 scale..

Holding him in my hand I can say the head (face plate) does seem small. The figure feels less stylized and crafted than the SHF. The chest is a bit bulky at the seam where his chest plate ends. The joints are also loose as you can expect from MAEFX. Not a bad figure but the SHF is much better in my opinion. That being said, I paid about $28 for the figure so compared to the BS, it is a better value.

Based solely on photos so far, I prefer the SHF. I think the sculpt on that one is really underrated. Yes, he could be taller, but I'll take that sculpt over height.

Thanks for all the pics....:) The only 6" Vader I haven't gotten yet is the Revoltech. Never thought there would be this many to compare with!! Hasbro Black Series, Bandai S.H. Figuarts, Bandai Model Kit, Revoltech, MAFEX, and of course the Bandai Movie Realization Samurai line (even though they are larger at 7" scale). The next one in line will be Disney's metal Elite Series, even though he's 7" as well.. Great time to be a Star Wars fan, bad time for our wallets!! Luckily my kids love Star Wars too and enjoy my stuff as much as I do!!! (The wife is a whole nother story!! :lol)

With that comparison picture, I prefer the MAFEX over the other two. Mine was shipped from AmiAmi this morning.

DSC04482.jpg You can see there is a noticeable gap between the torso and lower body. This is, in my opinion, a major reason I would not buy a second.
DSC04483.jpg Closer look.
DSC04484.jpg Tamashii Movie Realization Stormtrooper, Hasbro Black Series Stormtrooper, MAFEX Stormtrooper, Revoltech Stormtrooper, SH Figuarts Stormtrooper

All in all, the SHF is the best of the lot

Thanks for the photos! I tend to agree with you without having my MAFEX in-hand yet.

I own or have owned all the other releases; the MR Ashigaru is not really comparable but I do like the overall quality.

Revoltechs are niche products...capable of amazing poses but not great for neutral stances and too tall for SHF.

The SHF has beautiful proportions and quality; the helmet is stylized and really turned me off at first, but I came around to it.

I'm still interested to get the MAFEX in-hand but I'm not sold on the proportions and engineering.

Awesome pics Orbital Frame! Can you please take a picture of the Mafex Vader, Mafex Stormtrooper, and Figuarts Luke all lined up and standing straight so we can see their relative height to each other? Thanks! :)

I'm sorry but are not my pictures, if I find something like that, here I will post them, meanwhile some images and a vid:
