I don't often customize anything, but I want to share when I do.

First off, I noticed a spot of faint color on the right leg of this Hulk figure. I don't know how I missed it before, but I recently had him out and spotted it, so I got to thinking about a repaint, and how all the Avengers Hulk merchandise has either had brown pants per the early marketing art, though he never wore brown like that in the movie, or a brownish-purple like the early part of the movie, but none have had the blue-gray toned pants like the end of the film, so I took this as an opportunity and I experimented with some methods to add some dirt and weathering to them and I'm quite happy with the end result, though I now ponder a body repaint as there are places where Hasbro's paint slopped, we'll see.

Now, onto a more important project I'm working on, a 1/6 Rambo figure from the fourth film.

To me, an equally important accessory for a Rambo 4 figure would be the .50 cal machine gun from the final action sequence of the movie. I was very lucky to find a truck mount very much like the one in the movie, and then I secured a 1/6 gun to attach to it after some slight work. The last piece was constructing the shield they had on it in the movie.

I'm using Hot Toys' Barney Ross pants, shirt and belt on the ACI body.

So with all that, there's just one key piece missing, and I've saved it for last as it's the most important part for me, the portrait. There's been a few custom Rambo 4 headsculpts made but none have been good enough in my eyes. When Hot Toys unveiled their Barney Ross figure, I imediately thought how awecome a Rambo 4 figure could look with such a portrait. So, rather than just use someone else's headsculpt, I decided to make my own, built up from the Barney Ross portrait.

First thing I had to do was remove the facial hair and shave down the hair on his head to give myself space to build up the new hair.

From there I added his bandana and started building up the strands of his hair.

Now, I'm working on finishing up all the hair and detail, hopefully done soon so I can get to paint. I'll be using real cloth for the ends of his bandana.

Wow, nice mod of the head! Looks awesome! And I will recommend you use styren instead cardboard for gun. I think, that will be look better.

Im doing a Rambo as we speak and love what YOU have done. Im useing black doll hair and its a work in progress, dont know if ill pull it off. Body is complete with black outfit and aftermarket bow and arrow set.

Looking good Sean ! I know how much this character means to you so seeing him come alive from your own hands must be a fantastic feeling for you.

Looking forward to some cool action shots from you once he's completed ! :rock

Nice to see that you finally started on your Rambo.Looking forward to the final result, should look pretty awesome!:clap

Thanks for all of the positive feedback everyone. Just a few small details updated for now, but every little bit is a step forward. While I don't like that the direction of his facial scar changed from Rambo 2 to 3, and Rambo 4 kept it the way it was in 3, I opted to stick with being true to the film rather than true to how it was given to him in Rambo 2. For now it looks like a strand of hair, but once it's all painted it'll work.
