New to sculpting so advice and tips is very much appreciated, I'm using a non drying oil based clay. It's pretty hard to work so I'm not looking forward to sculpting his hair!:thud:

Looks like chavant clay. Best to try to warm it up a little before using it. Use lots of small pieces and add them to build up your shape rather than larger pieces. You're off to a good start though.

Started on the hair and made a few tweaks here and there to the face, clay has softened up a bit so it's not as difficult now!:)

Tnx guys, I feel maybe his forehead should be a little longer maybe?..what do you think?

Not bad, not bad at all. Tip for the eyes. If you can find a couple of smallish eye sized plastic balls pop them into your sculpt. Its easy then to just flatten out some clay to place over as eyelids. Try it, you'll love the difference it makes.

Keep going, its coming along nicely.

Thanks I would try that but the clay isn't far from the base plastic head so I think I would need to build up the sculpt more to sink some eyeballs into it and that is just making work for myself really, I will try it however if I find something small enough for the eyes.:)
