Not sure if this is the right forum. Maj. Richard Winters whose actions were portrayed in the HBO miniseries Band Of Brothers has died. He is the type of man our young should be emulating. Not pop stars, rappers, or athletes RIP.

ETA Dammit I'm trying to link but can't.

Oh man, thats a shame. But at least he made it home and got what he wanted, a nice quiet life in peace.

Rest in Peace Sir. Thank you for your service to your men and the United States of America and the world for that matter.

Yeah, it is sad to think that we are loosing all of the WWII veterans... I just glad there have been so many efforts to document their service in the past few years... nothing like a first hand account to make you appreciate the horrors (and heroism) of war.

Re: RIP ____ Winters

Truly sad news indeed. :(

Rest in Peace Major Winters. You've earned your rest.
