spidey left the superman PF thread? the sky has fallen!

Well I have spent some time away for the Marvel threads as I have not been terribly impressed with some of their statues. So I choose to stay out. Now I am impressed with this piece, but I am waiting for the SSC pieces to come out.

Especially when it's talking about a great guy like JAWS.

:hi5: Thanks Gates!!

Did... Didn't LOVE it, but I think it is a fine movie... Like a lot of the themes in it.

Actually, like I said above I enjoyed this one... Not as much as IM or the Avengers, but I liked it better then IM2. Without spoiling anything I am not at all upset with most of the twists and turns, BUT in the end I see why they made their choices.

In the end it is a bit of an unfortunate thing that they couldn't figure out certain aspects, but then again this isn't REALLY the last IM films so we will have to see.

Yeah ... You can't judge a guy by the fact that you do not agree with his opinion in one thread. I don't agree with JAWS ALL the time.... But he is an awesome guy!!!

I doubt they can be with SSC having control of the North American rights.

So your taste in films is officially worse then your taste In Superman Ex heads ;)

I love not agreeing with Spidey! It's fun! One of these days we are going to completely agree on something and peanut butter cups will begin to fall from the sky.... I hope it's about the Batman PF :)

Thanks for the Kind words :)

Iron man 3 surgically removed or destroyed everything cool about iron man and war machine, worst of the three movies by far. I knew marvel couldn't keep that awesome ball rolling forever, they didn't even include any decent tie ins for avengers or marvel world whatsoever. What a disappointment!!!

Now your making me not want to go see it.

Sorry man, not my intention, there were lots of cool parts to the movie, but there was always certain things I loved about iron man that made him a unique and cool hero and this movie takes them all away. If u like extremis you luv this I'm sure, I always hated the extremis idea with everything in me (so freaking stupid). But don't go into this movie thinking your gonna see specialized suits do specialized attacks or tasks or do anything different then any generic iron man armor, cuz u will be disappointed. 40 some suits and no unique abilities shown???????

So true, it hurts.

It really does... :monkey2

The movie was a total disappointment. What they did with the Mandarin's character was a total slap to IM fans, he is supposed to be one of IM's greatest foe's.

But that won't stop me from getting this statue, it looks awesome. Just hope it looks close to the proto.

Saw the movie and even though I didn't like all of it, I'll have to live with it cuz it's an IM movie. A lot of the themes borrowed from other movies. Literally. Especially the
Spoiler Spoiler:
I don't have to tell where that theme comes from. I have to admit though that the Mark 42 and IP designs have grown on me.

In the end I liked this... And JAWS ... My taste in movies is fine ... Your OCD just gets you hung up on things that JUST DON'T MATTER!! At least not to me:wink1:

Like good stories, well written characters, making sure there are no plot holes, ruining the main character....etc...

Damn my OCD!!!!!

;) :)

Spidey I will give you a pass on IM3 for now and won't judge the rest of your taste in films based on this one film. ;) :) :)

But you are now on probation ;) :)

You do know RDJ tosses most of the script out the door right... Lol. As for your plot holes ... I give you that there are a few, by most are covered in the film. Lets not go on and on. I will admit we were spoiled by Whedon on the Avengers though.

JAWS it is okay your OCD gets in the way ... However, it does stop you from overlooking some flaws to enjoy something as a whole. That is okay though ... As for being on probation that is okay ... I am use to that.

Good afternoon guys

I am having a little issue with a member that wants to cancel the Pre-order.
I stated a few times in here that the deposit is not refundable.
I have to honor all reservations and cannot cancel them. This is Iron Studios policy.
I can't be wasting my time and money doing this process. If everyone decides to cancel these pre-orders i will end up having to pay for all the 20 pieces that are already reserved with Iron Studios as I cannot cancel any order with them.
So please members BE ADVISED you should honor your pre-order or loose the deposit.

Here are the pre-order instructions AGAIN just in case you missed it:

I estimated box dimensions 65cm x 45cm x 40cm and 12Kg/24Lb
Package is insured for loss. So final shipping can be a little less or little higher.

Brazil - USA
EMS (2-3 days) - $158
Economy (12-18 days) - $107

Brazil - CANADA

Brazil - Japan
EMS (5-6 days) - $217,50
Economy (15-17 days) - $152,50

(Non refundable) Deposit of $40 to [email protected]
Please send it as a gift or add 5% for pay pal fees.
As soon as payment get cleared i will have your spot reserved.
STATUE WILL ONLY BE SHIPPED TO YOUR PAY PAL ADDRESS!

You have 2 options of payment:

1- Statue price $369,90 + Shipping if you pay the deposit of $40 + Shipping in advance.

2- Statue price $400 and all you have to pay is the $40 for the reservation and once the product is ready for shipping you pay the remaining balance + shipping cost.

Let me clarify shipping costs!

I estimated the price on the high side. I think it cannot weight more than 12Kg. I also used maximum measurements of Brazilian Post Office that is 150cm for the sum of the 3 different sides of a box.
So I think shipping is going to cost less than expected. I wanted to be on the more expensive side so you will not have a bad surprise once the piece comes out.
For those of you paying shippping in advance in case we have cheaper shipping costs, the difference will be used towards the remaining balance of the statue.

As an example i will use United States shipping prices:

12KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $158
Economy (12-18 days) - $107

11KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $153
Economy (12-18 days) - $100

10KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $145
Economy (12-18 days) - $95

9KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $138
Economy (12-18 days) - $88

8KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $131
Economy (12-18 days) - $81

7KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $124
Economy (12-18 days) - $75

6KG
EMS (2-3 days) - $116
Economy (12-18 days) - $68

Other countries estimatives at 6Kg:

Brazil - CANADA
EMS (4-8 days) - $143
Economy (14-20 days) - $70

Brazil - Germany/Greece/UK/Austria/Spain/Ireland/Sweeden
EMS (3-6 days) - $163
Economy (15-18 days) - $75

Brazil - Australia/Thailand/India/Hong Kong/Philipines/Indonesia/Singapore/South Korea

Economy (15-28 days) - $95

EMS (5-6 days) - $165,00
Economy (15-17 days) - $185,00

Also i would like to let you know that the edition size of 500 is not an official number from Iron Studios. When i contacted them this morning they said they will still set the edition size and it will be in between 500-700 pieces.

For those of you worried about Quality control. As i said before Iron Studios is using the same factory that Sideshow Collectibles uses so we all know they are not QC problems free. The owner of Iron Studios told me they will have a QC guy overseas inspecting every piece before they leave the factory.
I will also be inspecting every piece before shipping them to you guys and as a picky collector i know where to look. YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING A BAD ONE! I guarantee that.
In case there is any problem i will work with Iron Studios for a replacement before shipping.
I can also suply pictures and edition number of your statue before shipping.

If you have any other doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me via PM or any of the 2 following e-mails:

Come on guys spoilers much... Come on.

If you want to flat out ***** abou plot details go to the movie thread.

I admit that I let out some spoilers but I tagged them. I'm not bashing this movie as a whole but there are some parts which could've been better and made the experience worthwhile. I understand that they went with a different tone with this but that's where it faulters imo since that kinda stuff has been already done; we've seen that. Nor am I whining about it. I was just expecting some more screen time for all those suits (or at least a few of them) and their abilities after they 'explored' Tony Stark.
If that is whining, I have no qualms in being labelled as a fanboi. And Spidey976, some plot holes are significant enough to ruin the overall story and make it seem non-linear.

Edit: Sorry for the minor derailing of this thread. I know this discussion shouldn't be here.
