In terms of 'beauty' Brad Pitt comes to mind. For that iconic, old-school Hollywood male, John Hamm when he isn't channeling greased-up saxophone guy from The Lost Boys .

For gritty ass-kicking, Clint Eastwood.

The rest of these guys are all fit and/or handsome or whatever, but don't stand out for me, although Clooney gets a mention.
