I've actually been pretty clear what I think about the mandibles.

Okay, here's my first HT Predator figure as I unboxed it today:

My first impression when I slid off the cover: whoa, that's a big guy.

I'll need to get used to the articulation. My first attempt at a pose:

I was trying to include the skull trophy in the left hand, but none of the hands are designed to hold it. I've seen pics that show it can be worked into the one hand somehow.

Overall, it's pretty damn impressive. It just looks great and has a lot of presence. It might not be so awesome in person for people who already own HT Predators, but for me it was a real "wow" moment.

Nevermind, these pics did me in, I ordered from sideshow Looking forward to getting this guy, they really need to make a hartigan to go with this guy, would really be nice to have them in a face-off on display

Looks great with the open mandibles. The old head looks awesome except for the paint differences, and the dreads.

Honestly....I hate the way the old P2 head looks with closed mandibles. Perhaps it's just the way certain angles make it look though. The open mandibles are spot on however.

WTF is it with the left elbow on every figure I see? Is it just not popped in all the way? I know this has been talked about but I don't think I've read anything definitive. I really hope it's not oversized, or misproportioned.

that's exactly what i'm waiting this figure to turn into, and by your picture i see that old head looks properly big on this new midget body. so at least the proportions will be more accurate. thanks for the image!

though you'll have to cut deep into old head's neck (actually cutting it away) and change the peg to complete the fitting.

Maybe its just me, but the new Head sculpt doesn't look as accurate as the old one.

Sorry, but that's how the left elbow is. It slips a bit so it can be squeezed in a bit more but that's only a millimetre of difference.

I found the sweet spot for holding the trophy in the left hand so it's snug enough to stay:

"Hey y'all, look what I done killed"

Yea, i think mainly because the mandibles and the frown on the old P2 look much better, the paint seems a bit cleaner as well on the upper areas of the sculpt.

This looks awesome ! But I'm gonna leave my original p2 alone and pose him with open mouth mandibles . Still a ****ing killer figure and my top favorite after all these years . My new city hunter will be posed with bio helmet on and then switch to the breathing apparatus look from time to time . Open mandibles look are covered with original so new p2's open will stay in the box . I am so psyched for this monster .

I think I will pose mine with the severed arm an medic mask just to have more interest on my predator shelf, this guy will make my fifth predator and I want him to look alot differnt than the shadow predator which looks like they could be brothers.
