Would a seamless body be necessary (if most of the body is covered) on this DaftToys set?

Or would a regular plastic body provide better articulation?

You could used probably any body you would prefer. I like the S44A because it’s built like a younger female without the big butt or big chest that most 1/6 female figures try to emulate.

Yeah i'm waiting for the Mr. Toys head to be released first. Always a little skeptical what the final result will look like.
If its good i'll go that route ! Look forward to your in-hand pics !

Exactly my plan. Feels like ages ago these went up for pre-order. The paintjob won't be Hot Toys level, but if the hair is done well enough this would make the figure go from 'great' to 'awesome' for me.

of course you can use a regular body for the Daftoys set, but don't use one of these super cheap ones. The joints will become loose very quick. Also look for one that has this rubber chest part, so the shirt doesn't look weird with a shiny plastic one :-D Be aware you will need a slightly shorter body, as Alita is not really the same size as for instance Pepper Potts. (the endgame Black Widow has almost the right size) Oh and if you use the HT head sculpt you will need to modify the neck on the body and remove the peck from it, as the HT hs has it's own neck peck which is not removable from the head

Mr. Toys I can almost guarantee they copied the Hot Toys sculpt. I had and reviewed their Conan set which was a recast of a HT Arnie head with rooted hair. The paint apps were solid as well. So I have a feeling this going to be HT Alita with a rooted hair cap. Don’t hold me to that I could be wrong, but the fact their head comes with moveable eyes just like HTs version, my money is on a recast.

Anyone else’s shipment stuck on this status? I normally don’t worry since I know it’s coming from overseas but I don’t like the wording of that last update.

Hopefully they just mean that it was given to whatever courier is bringing it to the U.S. from Europe.

IDK - mine is coming from KGHOBBY (absolutely love those guys) and mine is now in the USA and should be here by the 30th according to tracking. Still don’t have a body for it because I’m still unsure of the skin tone for the Mr Toys heads.

Just watched it - was shocked it came with another Damascus blade, that was a pleasant surprise. I’m waiting to put mine on a body with the extra Mr Toys head. The other reviews out there show the outfit on the HT body with the HT head and the back of the sculpted hair rubs the collar of the leather-like jacket. Which I would think would be an issue over time. Set looks good though.

got it in yesterday. Pretty nice although i have to say i don't quite understand why they provide us with a deep blue colored shirt with white collar, when the scene actually had a washed out lighter blue and also blue-ish collar. I was hoping they fixed this, back when i saw the pre-order pics. I guess i will have to wash it first, maybe bleach... Also one of the hands i got has a little too much pink in the aint job. Other than that i'm pretty happy with this release. Let's hope for more outfit options in the future. Maybe some clip on sculpted armor parts for the Moto ball outfit ^_^

Yeah I’m thinking of white washing the hands then going over them and dry brushing so gold in the tops to capture that ornate style the Baby Doll body
was. Yeah the shirt is definitely too blue, I’m going to try washing it several times and sun drying to see what happens. I don’t want to bleach it but if I can wear the color down a hue or two….I’ll be able to live with it.

I assume not the pale - the annoying thing about TBLeague/phicen is even the tan bodies rarely match Hot Toys (way too light).
