If i choose to look close (key word- choose) I can see a bit of glue slop around the seam of the boot/leg- though not to the extent of krueger187's.
Even easier, because of my primary viewing angle and the lighting in the room, I can see brush strokes and dodgy painting in some areas of the skirt.

Oft times I've found that photos, especially extreme close up photos, reveal flaws that are nowhere near as apparent from a typical viewing distance.
Cold comfort if you happen to have more extreme issues that you can't look past, but there is just too much win here for me to get hung up on a few aspects that aren't 100%.

By all means, send it back and demand a replacement if you aren't satisfied. Open ES should make this aspect easier not harder to address.

Talked to SSC today. I have a replacement angry face, left "ear" piece and a $75.00 credit for my fingerprint along with keeping all my rewards points. Im perfectly happy with the outcome. 99 out of 100 people would never see the tiny fingerprint unless they were looking for it anyways. But since mine stands on the base perfectly with no tilt there is no way im risking a replacement when that would bother me much more than anything else

That's a pretty good deal! $75 for a little fingerprint ain't too shabby.

That's crazy you're gonna accept that for a statue with an open ES...:cuckoo:

I could understand a little better for a statue with an ES that has been sold out, but this one...mind blowing!

Maybe I'd buy this one in the future if you sold for about $400 off. I'd like that...:)

Well I am not seeing other people posting closeup pictures of the area at the top of the boots so I can't tell it that is common on this statue.

I'd be the first to tell that, that isn't a common thing for any statue that you receive.

Put the pressure on Sideshow to send you what you've paid $800+ dollars for. Don't accept an inferior product because in the end it hurts us all. Especially when it's an open ES product.

Forgot to mention that when I first opened the stryo, the smell of the glue used was pungent.
I was very happy that they didn't ship this like they usually do these things- in twenty different pieces to be assembled by the owner. I can hang with attaching the head wings and hands and heralds, but am glad the body top to bottom is more or less whole.

The downside is, there was quite a bit of glue used and there are going to be some pieces with sloppier applications of it. People don't need to accept it, but pieces with that will be out there.

This thing is quickly supplanting The Prize as my favorite SS statue. I've had a lot of quibbles with many choices SS makes in approving pose concepts for it's licensed characters. Even the ones that are mostly right on (like Ivy) I can see aspects that could have easily been tweaked to make the overall impact even stronger.
What's here though is just perfect, imo. An absolutely iconic stance and attitude for this character.
I'm nowhere near a huge 'fan' of this character, but when something is nailed this well, you can't help but look at it with a little awe.

Yeah those spots are nothing considering that all of these came this way. Cosmic dust is a great twist to put on this and that's what I'd call it.

I had no problem with the speckling seen in the first in-hand pics. I did take it as intentional 'cosmic dust' weathering and felt it was fully justified aesthetically to give it a little more texture and push it away from looking too much like just a large cheap shiny action figure.

For some reason though, mine has almost no spotting on it, save for a very light application on the two hands and even less on the head and wings.
I'm not seeing any on the trunk, arms, legs, skirt.
Weird.
