Han Solo Tatooine Smuggler

Hi I've been looking at this figure but am on the fence about it, the pics I have seen just look kind of wierd, but I know that SSC always look better when you have them in hand what do some of you think, is it a good figure ... worth getting or not.. I have the Bespin Han and I feel so-so about it. thx

If you feel so-so about the ESB Han, you will not feel much better about the ANH one. (your gut feelings are right) It's an improvement over the Bespin Han, but not a substantial one IMO.

( I recommend the Medicom Han ep4, if you can find it for a deal that is)

But the ANH SS ep4 Han is like 30$ on hastings i think, and that is a deal.

thank you I remember seeing the unpainted pics of anh Han on SSC's site and they looked really good then when I seen the painted version it just looked wierd but $30.00 bucks is a great deal

It's a big improvement over Bespin Han, (for me, anyway). Pick it up. You'll like it.

Its a fantastic sculpt with a horrid paint job; had mine repainted and it looks fantastic now. Production paint work is terrible

I thought the unpainted sculpt looked just like Han Solo then when I seen the painted version it looked pale and just blah

I'm using a soldier story body with unhatted Indy head for mine (I bought one of the hastings ones on Amazon last week, waiting for it to come) I've got the figure ready to go, added hair and used acetone to remove the scruff.
Whos scruffy lookin?
Just waiting for the figure so I can use the outfit. I'll probably turn the ANH han into an ESB one

I removed some of it's eyebrows adjusted the pupil & lightened the hair, looks just fine to me now

looks really cool helps that you show him in a great looking pose, that helps. I may pick this figure up... got the SSC Darth Vader for Christmas from my wife I absolutly love it so I'm on kind of A New Hope hunt lol.

It's an OK fig, wook. Out of the ANH figs, Vader, Stormtrooper, and Old Ben are tops in my book. Luke, Leia, and Han aren't great, but they aren't bad either. If you can score the Han through gohastings (along with Luke) for the $30, then it's a good deal that you won't regret.

I got Vader and love it I have Mace, ESB Han, ep3 obi, Darth Maul,and Qui Gon I mostly get the SSC for my son he has most of the SSC Star Wars figs I started with the Six Gun Legends and SSC's civil war line oh and two John Wayne 12 inch figs but $30.00 for those is a great price how does the ANH Luke look I've just seen a few pics and two of the head sculpts looked different is that my eyes playing tricks or did they change the head on him, I do like that he comes with a lot of accessories.

It's the same head sculpt on the ANH Luke. There were different head sculpts for the Stormtrooper Disguise Luke(part of 2 pack w/ Han Stormtrooper), Jedi Luke, Bespin Luke, and Yavin Luke. I wasn't blown away with the ANH Luke fig (liked it much better than Bespin Luke & Yavin Luke though). I liked his outfit better in the original prototype and the paint jobs hide great sculpts on both ANH Luke & Han figs.

ANH hope hunt ehh, can't go past Vader, Stormies, Han & Obi, you only need to futz the troopers & Obi, fix Vaders helmet & minor paint work on Han. mmm i need Luke ANH

Not a phenomenal figure, but if you can pick him up on the cheap he's a good Solo.

I don't dislike the Medicom Han, but that one has a decidedly Anime bent to it. ANH Smuggler Han is a great figure, in my own opinion. Not perfect, but I (edit - don't) think there is a better ANH Han on the market.

I just got one for Christmas and I think he's a great figure. The forearms are a bit long and the paintwork on the head is so-so, but the sculpt and outfit are great.
