Apparently it's a popular pose with T's Facto.

My records at Hobby Search don't go back as far as my last gigantic purchase, but the Large Monster series Shin cost me $50 EMS so there is no way this is going to be $50. I've shopped at Amiami as well and their shipping isn't that different. Maybe I'll check my paypal records.

I'm in NY. The 30cm Godzilla 2014 cost me $60 ems shipping from amiami when it came out. If you have 100 orders then you should ship them together in a monthly order to save on shipping.

The last gigantic I ordered was the 1962. Not sure if I used any rewards points on it.....probably did which would change the price, but MINIMUM I paid $75-$80 to ship EMS.

From Amiami or Hobbysearch? Never done Hobby before so I have no Idea on that one
Hobby Search, but I doubt Amiami gets some sort of discount that HS doesn't. Still had my shipping box from Khaiser Ghidorah in May. The box was 26" x 18" x 11", about half of the largest they can send. Gross weight was 3.5 kg or 7.7 lbs. Cost was 6600 yen so about $60.

Hobby is slightly more expensive, I'll even show you a couple examples real quick if your ok with that? Is it ok to post Hobby and amiami links on here of other characters than Godzilla? I don't want to go against any rules etc

It's ok to go off topic as long as it doesn't go on forever, but what do retail prices of the items have to do with shipping costs?

Just basically to sum it up, shipping is cheaper there and so are the items, not to sound mean or anything.

You paid just around $9 or so bucks more just for the Kaiser on Hobby site compared to Amiami for example.

and you said you paid around $60 for shipping I believe which this figure is around 7lbs you said correct? When in actuality this figure is Item Size/Weight : 42.3 x 42 x 18 cm / 2143g around 4.5lbs so your slightly off on that, which is understandable since they are rather large figures, but they are made of what I call shampoo bottle material, so relatively light in weight. (correct me if I am wrong in you stating it was 7lbs or so, maybe the site is wrong, who knows)

next this figure https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10315694 is this size and weight of 46.4 x 35.6 x 24 cm / 3480g around 7lbs, I own this figure and can tell you it's pretty heavy. Here you will notice its around 215$ on amiami it's around 210$ not to big a difference, but its still 5 bucks you could have saved.

I paid around 50+ for shipping on this, and that was with some other figures in box with it, So if Hobby is charging not only $5 to $10 more for retail compared to Amiami, I also see shipping is clearly higher if you paid 60$ for a 4.5lb figure, anyway that's what I was wanting to point out, also if you want me to delete this mess let me know, I just wanted to show you some easy savings for figures basically. Also sorry if I come around jerky or something, I like savings a lot and figurines!

I feel very confident in saying that EMS shipping on Gigantic Shin is going to be no less
than $80-$100. Shipping on the last two figures I received, Art Spirits Shin and X-Plus Defo Shin,
was around $58.00. They were in a big box, but I'm sure that the box for Gig Shin is going to
be larger and he is going to weigh more than these two figures.

I've shopped both sites. I've come to stick with Hobby Search. Just my preference. For every item you can come up with that's less on Amiami, I can come up with one on HS that is too. Two recent examples are X-Plus Hedorah and X-Plus 1993 Mechagodzilla.

You misunderstood what I said when I quoted size and weight. That information was for the shipping box. I simply measured the size of the box myself. As far as weight, I cited the weight of the entire shipped box as per customs form. I doubt the post office is lying. The point is shipping is calculated both on size and weight. When something is big or heavy you get gooned. Ask people what it costs to ship a Neca Space Jockey that weighs about 3 lbs from the US to Europe....over $700.
