Spoiler:Me too! That would’ve been perfection. At least siblings! That was my only disappointment of the movie.
My wife and daughter are convinced he was lying to Rey in order to hide their relation: a revelation being saved for the final installment of the trilogy.
I’m pretty sure he’s right though. She seemed to confirm it with her reaction. I think the producers wanted to remind the audience that you don’t have to be of Skywalker decent to control the force. My thought is confirmed by the last moments of the film.
The best theater reaction I've ever been a part of was Braveheart. The whole theater stood in a standing ovation at the end. It was amazing.

The Last Jedi spoiler:The audience went nuts clapping and cheering duringSpoiler:the scene where they band together against praetorian guards for 10 mins
Spoiler:Yes! That was so epic! I really wanted them to be siblings at that point. Going into the movie, I told my family that my theory is they’re both Han and Leia’s kids. So when they banded together, I presumed I was right (since Kylo seemingly decided to help her, and he knows who her parents are). I was like, “This is epic on so many levels!”
I really wanted him to join her and the rebellion at that point (not that I have any idea where the plot could go from there).
But then, when he asked her to rule the galaxy with him, I seriously wanted her to take his hand! I was like, “Holy crap! If Rey turns (just as Kylo said he’d foreseen), the rebels don’t stand a chance! Luke and Leia will have to bring them down!”
Spoiler:
The BB-8 rescue on the ATST
The Horse Race.
Both were obviously for the kids....so its acceptable.
These Scenes kept it away from the 9/10
Just got home.......
Solid 8/10.
What a great fun adventure....nice to have something to enjoy at this moment in history. It was not mired down in darkness or took itself to seriously..... great night out with the family.
My cinema was applauding at the end...and some real genuine laughs and gasps ......
The neck beards will hate it of course....its become fashionable to hate on Star Wars again... (like the late 80's early 90's).
The only parts I didn't like....

Spoiler:When Admiral Holdo used the ship as at lightspeed bullet. Very cool, Badass end for someone who seemed weak, beautifully shot and left me stunned. I agree i could have done without the "Vegas" scenes and some of the BB-8 scenes.
I have seen every single Star Wars film on the weekend of release since 77 and this one very suprisingly probably had my favorite scene.

Spoiler:Oh my goodness, yes! Phenomenal scene! I actually caught myself holding my breath during the silence. Literally took my breath away. My jaw hit the floor in astonishment as the hair on my arms stood up.
Good call on that being the best scene! For me, it was the biggest surprise other than Yoda, whom I mentioned to my wife milliseconds before he appeared. That, shocked me. I said, “Rey is leaving Luke before she finishes her training so she can fight Kylo Ren. It’s just like when Luke left his training to fight Darth Vader, during Empire Strikes Back even though Yoda advised against it.” Instantly, Yoda was on screen, and my wife and I looked at each other with our jaws dropped.
Not really sure where to begin with this movie.
I definitely have mixed feelings. There were an equal number of scenes that I thought were outstanding compared to those that I think were stupid.
Overall, I did enjoy the ride and my rating could possibly change with repeat viewing. For now it's a 7/10.
For the sake of comparison, here is how I rank the other episodes:
A New Hope = 9.5/10
Empire Strikes Back = 9.5/10
Rogue One = 9/10
Force Awakens = 8.5/10
Return of the Jedi = 8/10
Revenge of the Sith = 6.5/10
Attack of the Clones = 5/10
The Phantom Menace = Pee yousa/10
I agree with that. One of my all time favorite movies! Not intending to start a debate, but I give Empire Strikes Back a 10/10. It barely edges out A New Hope in my top ten favorites of all time.

I watched it tonight and I really enjoyed it also. It was not what i was expecting and i think that is what made it great (IMO). i have seen every single Star Wars film on the weekend of release since 77 and this one very suprisingly probably had my favorite scene.

I will go watch it again over the next couple of days
Spoiler:The mission to destroy the tracking device on the mother ship just felt really lame. Finn and Rose deduced that the First Order must be tracking them during light speed. What are the chances that these two would figure this out. Then they explained their plan on how they're going to resolve it to Dameron who easily bought into their non-proven idea. The way to disable it is to board the mothership undetected, but in order to bypass all the First Order sensors they would need a code cracker. How will they find one? With the help of Maz. Oh yeah, she also happens to be in the middle of fighting for her own life as she's explaining it to them. LOL! The code cracker is on a Vegas-like setting where we see a lot of rich folks gambling their money away, money that came from the First Order for weapons (another face-palm worthy moment in the story). Instead, they end up in jail before they could get to the code cracker they were looking for. But wait...there is also a code cracker inside the same cell with them! What are the chances?!
Alas, they were all able to break free and get away on horseback, successfully outrunning law enforcement on their much superior technology driven spacecraft. Thankfully, BB-8 followed the complete stranger, the code cracker (instead of the two people he came there with) and hotwired a get-away ship. Let me insert another one here...
My ranking would be close to the same as yours but i would rank TLJ over force awakens.
Not intending to start a debate, but I give Empire Strikes Back a 10/10. It barely edges out A New Hope in my top ten favorites of all time.

Glad to see someone else who appreciated the darker tone of Rogue One. For me, that movie was much needed in this franchise.
I love the story. Great writing, acting, and what they did with Vader was awesome!
For me the FA fulfilled a lot of nostalgic feelings. After 30+ years, seeing Leia, Han, Chewie, Luke, R2, 3PO, and the Falcon again for the first time was emotional.
