I didn't see a thread for this, so I made one instead. Post your favorite Video Game intros, I wanna see 'em! . Except the MGS ones (and anything else from Hideo Kojima), I've seen all of those before - we ALL have.

RE2 and almost most RE games have great intros, the classic ones in particular. RE1 has a memorable intro for the wrong reasons and I agree on Wind Waker, but OoT is just a beautiful piano piece, I can't not listen to it. Silent Hill I never played, but I feel the intro really sucks you in.Beautiful, but I'm going to choose this instead:
Wind Waker's so much more meaningful to me, and I love the theme song's Celtic influence.
This one also stands out in my mind:
And...
Classic.
"The guy's a maniac! Why'd he bite me?!"
Indeed on Ocarina of Time and RE!Agreed. Ocarina of Time's intro is unforgettable and, unlike the original Resident Evil, for all the right reasons.
RE2 was my first Resident Evil (played on the N64 because I didn't own a PlayStation), and for that reason I'm a bit biased toward its intro -- for sentimental reasons. CODE: Veronica's is great as well, and also stands out as a favourite. You're right, though, in that the original REs had some stellar intro sequences.
While I'm not a fan of the continual theme of occultism in the Silent Hill series, 2 was a standalone title that delved more into the psyches of the characters within, attributing to something more human. If Silent Hill can do anything with consistency, though, it's generate ambiance and, thus, immersion. You should give them a try!
I absolutely loved this game back in the day
